My account has been under review for three weeks without any explanation or updates, even when I call about it. I believe I have done nothing wrong, and it seems like the fraud squad is being overly cautious and disproportionate in their actions. My account was functioning well before, allowing me to withdraw money, but now my card is blocked, and my online account is locked for reasons unknown to me. I used to trust Barclays as a bank that supports its customers, but now I feel uncertain. Trust has become an issue for me, and I am concerned about the situation.

Dear Sirs, I understand the challenges posed by the ongoing Covid-19 situation and acknowledge the adjustments needed in these times. I am writing to bring to your attention certain shortcomings in your services that, with some additional consideration and training, could greatly enhance the customer experience. I am acting on behalf of Mrs. J.R. Stanton, a customer of yours. Enclosed within this correspondence are the details of her account and the issue she is facing. When Mrs. Stanton's Barclays Visa debit card was declined for a payment exceeding £[redacted], I tried contacting your Customer Services team via phone. After being placed on hold for over an hour, I decided to visit the Barclays branch in Hoddesdon. Despite checking the opening hours on your website, which indicated 09:00 to 14:00, upon arriving at 08:45, I was informed that the branch only opens at 10. Upon my return at noon, I faced further challenges. After waiting in a long queue, I was eventually allowed in and received assistance from the counter staff. However, the staff member I encountered at the door initially refused to accept my letter, which was intended for the branch. I have a few suggestions for improvement which could enhance customer service, such as updating the website with accurate information, specifying the acceptance of mail, providing adequate training for front-line staff, increasing the number of staff in Customer Services, and ensuring that actual customer interactions align with the company's advertised image. I do not necessarily expect a response to this message. However, as longstanding customers of Barclays, both Mrs. Stanton and I hope that our feedback will be constructive. Good morning, I am having issues with your bank. I am a customer of ENERGY MARKETS. My name is Antonio Dellosa. I closed my account and requested a positive balance of [redacted] euros to be sent to my bank Intesa San Paolo in Italy. After speaking with senior manager of ENERGY MARKETS, Adriana Huber, she emailed me that your bank has blocked my money because I need to pay a 10% tax. She then had me pay [redacted] euros through an Italian bank to a foreign bank in Ireland, Coinbase. Additionally, she asked me to pay another [redacted] euros for insurance on the correct transfer of the money to the Italian bank. Then, your bank, Barclays UK, informed me that you cannot send my balance as it is blocked by the Italian tax agency and that I need to make another transfer of [redacted] euros through Coinbase Ireland. I recently closed my account with ENERGY MARKETS and requested a transfer to my Intesa San Paolo bank in Italy through their module. The Senior Manager informed me that Barclays UK, the bank involved, blocked the funds for English government tax purposes. I paid [redacted] euros plus [redacted] euros in insurance by bank transfer to resolve this. Now, ADRIANA HUBER claims the bank is still unable to send the money. After 68 years of being a loyal customer, both personally and in business, the bank is closing my account because I no longer reside in the UK. I have reached out to them via recorded delivery and email but have not received any response. When I tried their Personal Chat for their phone number, I was informed the number was not assigned to a phone. I was simply trying to ask them to help me make contact with the parties that pay my private pensions into my account and provide them with the details of the alternative bank account I have opened in New Zealand. However, it seems that 68 years of loyalty does not warrant a reply. I have attempted to call every telephone number on their website and Barclays, but all of them are unavailable or do not correspond to the numbers provided.
