On a date with my husband trying a new restaurant. ... The limit to what the owner of a service dog can do in a restaurant. Me and my husband were seated at a half cleaned area and booth. I asked for it to be cleaned. Served our meal, while sitting there I noticed others were looking at something behind me, a service dog drinking water out of a bowl that was similar to what I was eating my soup from. The service dog was invited by the owner to sit on the booth furniture beside her. One party left and me and my husband left, also. I informed the front desk about what was happening and they had no response for me. I believe all customers should be considered. People have conditions to pet hair and no animal should be allowed to use any type of dish ware used to feed humans nor allowed to sit on furniture. My statement to them is maybe they should consider having a designated area for service dogs and their owner, but post signs up giving others the option to sit there if so desired. That is my first and last time eating at any BJ's establishment, this is not a safe environment for human consumption due to the lack of good practice in cleanliness.
They did not at least act like they have care.
Have a more structured plan for service dogs and their owners and to improve in practicing sanitary.
I informed the manager before leaving the restaurant and I just called the restaurant to talk to the complaint department. They will contact the restaurant on I** in Arlington.
