Hied car via Rentalcars.com. Paid what I thought was full price with deposit of about *** euro to follow on pickup of vehicle. when I went to pickup car it wasn't in designated pickup spot and was transported to out of town depot with no apology and late pickup time. (I note no decrease in price due to same.). I then was told deposit was *** euor and unknown to me a fee of about ** euro was taken from my credit card. On return the car was in good condition both inside and out and returned on time. However I haave had valeting fee levied upon myself to clean car which is nonsense and about $*** Austrlain dollars. When complaining through Avis customer service I am asked to send credit card statement to Avis however I am travelling and have no access to same. I can't undestrand how Avis can't get this information from Rentalcars.com who lease their cars (to show I paid them ) and also from their franchisee In Avis Troyes to do the same. Customer service is second rate Still no reply to many emails and attempted contct so none the wiser as to when this joke will end.
