Rental agreement **********Customer name: KWEK, Lee*Avis car no. *********Car plate: NY HZL*****SIL Ford Escape * WD*Pick up date: ** Jun ****, *.** pm.*Return date: * Jul, * pm.**Pick up location: federal Circle, Jamaica, NY, *****, US**Return date: * Jun ****, **.** pm. At Federal Circle, Jamaica, NY.**When we returned the car on * Jun, the tank was *** full. We last pumped full tank of gas on ** Jun at *.** pm. We drove straight from Long Island to NY and parked it. We did not use car until we drove it to return to Avis. **At Avis return, the guy that check us in for returned advised us that it may cost us about USD ** to ** for Avis to TOP up the quarter tank. Or we could drive out to TOP up the tank and there will be no charge. We chose not to TOP up gas (it was *** full tank of gas) as it is only USD ** to ** - based on the advise of the Avis guy.**We were not given a receipt.**On * Jul at ** pm or so, I received an email from my bank that Avis has charged me USD ***.**. We were shocked at the large amount. **We called Avis the next day and was told they cannot do anything for us as it is less than ** hours after returning the car. They advised us to call a few days later.**On * Jul in the morning we called Avis at **.** am, then **.** (call was terminated), **.** am, and the last call was at **.**. The first * calls, we were diverted to international help line. The last one was to JFK direct.**At JFK, we spoke to Jones Aveline. I asked her spell her name but she refused to spell her name. So I may have spell her name wrongly.**Above is the history. Some of the info given in the calls are given below. My complains are**. Jones Aveline has been very rude, accussational, and unprofessional. It was most unpleasant dealing with her. For example, she asked why we did not get a receipt from the guy that checked us in. That guy just did not give us a receipt. But she kep coming back to it, basically implying, then it is our fault. Instead of thinking, MAYBE Avis did not train their guy well or that guy just forgot.*Then she claimed that I spoke to her at the desk. She said she remembers me. She said that she saw me Walking through the office to the terminal. Everyone has to walked pass the rental office to get to terminal as that is the way to the terminal. It is such a generic fact that she used. So I asked her to describe me, which she did not. AND I DID NOT SPEAK TO HER. I have my Son and Wife with me and they can testify to that.*Jones, instead of trying to understand the issue played JUDGE, INTERROGATING all that we said, making it sounds like we are telling lies. It makes me FEEL VERY ANGRY being treated so atrociously. *She also speaks very rudely. *Please check recording of this call.**. In one of the call, I was told that AVIS has to pumped *.* gal. A full tank is only **.* gal. So obviously that is wrong. We returned the car with *** tank. And *** tank would be * gal at most. I want to know HOW AVIS CAN PUMP *.* GAL WHEN TANK IS *** FULL ON RETURN. *Also I want to know why an AVIS employee IS NOT TRAINED BETTER TO ESTIMATE HOW MUCH A QUARTER TANK WOULD COST. His estimate of USD ** to ** implies it is * to * gal when the *** should be about * gal. Note that Avis is now charging me for *.* gal.**. Avis did not send me a breakdown of the charge of USD ***.*. That practise is not up to par. Customers can not verify if the charges are correct or not. **My email is *****@***.com.**I hope to get a satisfactory reply to all my complains. *NB: I AM NOT INTERESTED IN CONCESSION on pump rate. I will pay the USD ** per gal for the car to be TOP up. BUT I WILL ONLY PAY FOR WHAT WAS THE GAS SHORTFALL, nothing more.
