I recently removed Avast after using it for over two years due to a frustrating incident. I tried to download a video from a trusted site, but Avast kept blocking me despite adding the URL to exclusions. The risk was deemed very low by Avast. I have Malwarebytes installed as well, so why would they let me download if it was risky? I'm extremely busy and don't have time for this nonsense. After multiple failed attempts to exclude the URL, I had to uninstall Avast because of this aggravating situation. I hope to get a rational explanation from a human at Avast to reconsider reinstalling. This message is long because I am truly aggravated. Looking forward to a response. Thank you.

This email is a follow-up to my previous message. You mentioned someone would call, will that happen? My phone is on. I'm waiting for your call. I don't mind if other AVAST users read my emails. However, censoring certain words from my message is uncalled for. I did not use profanity, so blocking words like "God-damned" and "What the hell" gives a false impression. I am still waiting for the promised phone call. I'm eager to speak to a representative and receive an explanation for the situation I described in my previous message. Your response about not indicating what Avast should do to make things right is incorrect. A reasonable explanation for the issue would suffice. I am patiently waiting for the phone call you promised. Your statement about more detail leading to a faster outcome was acknowledged in my detailed message. To other Avast users: I have not used profanity in my messages, despite certain words being blocked out to create a false impression. I am still waiting for the phone call promised.

I have Avast Free Mobile Security on my Samsung Note 8, previously had Avast Security Pro and Cleanup Pro subscriptions. I prefer to delay Samsung updates for safety. Today, I got a "Lost or Stolen phone" alert from a text containing an Apple emoji. Trying to reset my PIN on Avast prompted a Google error [redacted]. I discovered Google's changes to OAuth interactions for better security and usability. Avast seems outdated in handling these security changes since I can't reset my PIN to disable the alert on my phone without risking data loss. I'm reluctant to grant Avast full access to my Google account. I hope to resolve this without a factory reset. Sharing my Gmail for account identification and willing to provide my phone number for verification if needed.

Subject: Payment Authorization Issue with Avast Antivirus Hello Avast Support, I recently installed Avast antivirus on my personal PC running Windows 7 and attempted to activate the 60-day trial using my credit card information. Unfortunately, I encountered a payment authorization failure notification ten times in a row. I prefer not to call international customer service due to long wait times, so I'd appreciate assistance with this matter. If there is a contact number for support within Saudi Arabia, please provide it. Alternatively, you can reach me at my email address [redacted] Thank you for your help. Best regards

Order for VPN #[redacted]8: I frequently encounter an issue with the VPN on my computer where the button is stuck on red with the message "Turning Off." Additionally, I cannot protect up to 5 devices as advertised. This product has been a disappointment, and I am very dissatisfied. The only resolution I will accept is a full refund for both the VPN and the protection services I paid for on March 28. I have faced nothing but problems with both items. I am only requesting a full refund.

Hello, My sister mistakenly signed up for a free trial with your service using the wrong email address. Instead of using '[redacted]', she entered '..au'. This resulted in the account being linked to the incorrect email. Unfortunately, I am now experiencing unauthorized charges being debited from my account due to this error. I need assistance in cancelling the subscription, but I am unable to do so because the email is inaccurate. I have attempted to locate my order ID, but encountered errors on the webpage. Your prompt assistance in rectifying this issue is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I was charged €79.99 or [redacted].50 SEK on my debit card with the transaction showing as "Dublin" and then "Dri*Avast Software." I am in Sweden and don't have a computer currently. I am confused about the software and location associated with the charge. The transaction took place on April 8th, and despite contacting Avast, I am unable to get a clear response other than a request for more information. I have provided all details requested by Avast, including the transaction date, amount, and currency, yet they keep asking for an order ID that I don't have since I did not make any orders. My money has not been refunded, and I am frustrated by their lack of assistance in resolving this unauthorized transaction. I am eager to have my money refunded promptly.

I have experienced issues with Avast software causing my computer to crash twice. Despite my attempts to remove the program, it reinstalled itself. Additionally, I was charged double on Jan. 14th ($21.24) and Jan. 22nd ($10.61) by Avast. The affected programs include Acrobat, Reimage, and Wise Repair, with Avast changing settings like my home page repeatedly. Even after uninstalling Avast, remnants of the program persist on my computer. I kindly request a full refund for these troubles. Thank you, Mrs. Evelyn P. Patriacca.

Dear community members, I'm facing a situation with Avast! that has left me puzzled. Despite being a user of the free version, a payment of 50.49 was unexpectedly deducted from my account, disrupting my ability to pay for my car insurance. My debit card was replaced recently, and I suspect it might have been misused. I am reaching out for assistance in tracing the card's usage back to its source to potentially involve the authorities. Due to financial constraints, this issue holds significant importance to me. I would greatly appreciate guidance on contacting customer service, investigating the card transaction, and involving the police if necessary. Your support in resolving this matter would be invaluable. Kind regards, Barbara

Hello Avast team, I am surprised to receive emails about renewing my subscription when I canceled it a year or two ago after a year of use. Recently, I received an email stating that my subscription would automatically renew shortly, which I find unexpected since I have no ongoing contract with Avast. I explicitly canceled the subscription and unsubscribed some time ago. I want to make it clear that any renewal of my subscription and appropriation of funds by Avast without my consent would go against English law, specifically the Consumer Rights Act of [redacted] regarding digital services. This act prohibits businesses from imposing unfair terms on consumers. I am seeking confirmation that this message has been received, as it is submitted through Avast's online complaint page. Thank you. -js

On April 26, [redacted], I noticed a charge of $64.94 deducted from my checking account by Avast at 3:45 a.m. The transaction description reads DRI* AVAST SOFT. I have not intentionally bought any software and have not used or activated anything. I only use Avast Free Anti-Virus. Kindly arrange a refund as soon as possible and cancel any future renewals. Thank you for addressing this promptly. - D.S. [redacted]

Hello Avast team, I just want to tidy up my accounts and add more computers. Currently, I have the account [redacted] with paid services attached to it. I may also have an earlier account [redacted] and [redacted] that may have paid services as well. Due to memory issues from a head injury, I would appreciate if you could combine any paid services to juseageproductionz. I have 6 computers between two states in Australia due to family commitments. I live with my elderly father in one state and with my daughter in another state. I'd like to consolidate all our computers under one account with the same protections and cleaners. I am currently trialing a few things. Please recommend the best price package to cover these 6 computers as I am setting up a small business. Ideally, I would like an ultimate package with all services for easy installation. I'm open to canceling current services to start fresh with a new package covering all 6 computers. Please let me know the yearly price for this ultimate package. You can reach me at +[redacted]0 (Australia) or email for further communication. Thank you for your assistance. Troy Lang

I am a fan of the Avast product, but I have some concerns to address. Avast cleaner mistakenly labels my VLC files as junk, which are important to me. Also, it identifies my Video Downloader Ultimate as unnecessary, despite my high regard for it. I disagree with the low rating it has received. Avast's messages and tracking blocker interfere with my downloads, forcing me to disable the blocker. Furthermore, it repeatedly identifies my Brother's Network as a new connection, even though it is my regular internet connection. The cleaner also marks desktop shortcuts from disks as broken. Unfortunately, Avast deleted some programs from my boot virus cleaner, resulting in the loss of an investment in Advanced System Pro. The unsuccessful attempts to restore the system files caused my computer to malfunction. Despite these problems, I still trust Avast. I just wish to avoid the mentioned issues and continue using the software effectively. Thank you for your attention to these matters.

My experience with Avast and resolving downloading issues! Avast helped me update my Display Driver, which successfully improved my Windows operation, but it caused my download speed to slow down. After upgrading with Avast, my downloads are now functioning better. The Driver Updater installation by Avast was successful, but I encountered issues trying to download it again via email as my computer flagged it as unsafe. It took multiple attempts on different pages to realize that Avast had already installed it, resolving the safety concerns. For those facing similar problems, try using your existing Avast applications to install the Driver Updater or reach out to Avast for assistance. Additionally, incorporating Avast's Anti-Tracker led to disruptions in my downloads, necessitating restarting the downloader. Due to financial constraints, I needed to cancel my Avast free trial via email to avoid expenses post the 30-day period, while intending to reinstall in the future if proven beneficial. Though progress has been slow, I appreciate my other Avast products greatly. Thank you!

I have been trying to activate my Avast SecureLine service for almost three days now with the assistance of Randolph B. at your Philippines office. After renewing my service and paying the fee, I faced connectivity issues despite multiple tries. In frustration, I made another payment, but the problem persisted. Randolph attempted to activate my application using the "remote.avast.com" tool for many hours. He provided me with a number (1[redacted]) to contact experts and synchronize all my Avast licenses. Unfortunately, I was informed that the given number is invalid. My patience is wearing thin, and I am expecting a call from Randolph tomorrow morning at 00:73 SA time. Please reach out to me today or email me by 20:00. C. A. M. +27 (0) 83 [redacted]

I am having trouble locating my password as I forgot it and need help resetting it to access my multiple accounts. My phone, where my passwords were stored, is no longer working, making it hard for me to retrieve them. I have a renewal payment coming up and would like to check the amount and credit card associated with it. Being visually and hearing impaired at 74, it's challenging to navigate tech issues solo. I've reached out for technical support, but have not had any luck. I hope for some compassionate assistance soon, as I value the software I purchased for my computer's protection. The lack of customer service is disappointing, and if this matter is not resolved promptly, I may need to consider other options. It's been a frustrating experience trying to get the help I need to reset my password, and I hope to receive the support I require.

I canceled my trial on time, but it caused overdrafts in my bank account. I expect a refund for the fees and costs incurred due to your error. You offered me a 90-day trial, not 30, and I canceled within the given time frame. However, my issue remains unresolved, and I have not been contacted. Their explanations are inaccurate, and they seem to be evading the truth. I am still waiting for my reimbursement.
