Love Audible but it has become a major headache. About * weeks ago I started getting an ERROR (no error number) message when I would try to listen to one of my Audible selections. The CHAT tech suggested I uninstall my Audible Manager and then reinstall the new one. Went to my Windows ** apps and found no Audible app. Strange. So I went to the Internet and downloaded the new Audible Manager. It shows my Audible selections in a tile arrangement, instead of having them listed down the left of the screen, which is okay. It is definitely tied to my old Audible account because it shows me with * credits, which is correct. **However, problems: (*) When I try to play one of them it starts downloading, very, very slowly. (*) My books*lectures are already downloaded into my computer, can’t Audible detect this? (*) Most of my books are lecture series, so some are very long, like ** hours, and yet some of the selections on this new Manager will show, for example, a **-hour lecture series as lasting , say, ** minutes. ** minutes? (*) Worst of all, the new Manager, even though it is aware of my previous account, has wiped away my bookmarks. It has reset all my books back to zero, I would be back to starting on page one. I know I can move it forward, but I have many selections and would have to spend a lot of time trying to remember and find where I left off. (*) On top of all this, if I log into my Amazon account and go to my Audible account, I end up inside the same old Audible format. Nothing has changed. I try to play a book and I again get that same ERROR message. ****So I have the choice of going through Amazon to my Audible account and having the same ERROR no-play problem, or getting to my Audible account by way of my new Audible Manager Icon on my laptop screen, giving me access to my selections (if I live long enough to download them)–with all the other problems listed above. What a mess! Any suggestions? If so, maybe you could email them to me, so we are not trying to solve all these problems for hours. ****Thank you, Thomas, tmawritesATymailDOTcom
