I recently received and activated my new Assurance Wireless free phone, but unfortunately, it went missing under suspicious circumstances involving my boarder, Bruce A. Grier, who is being evicted. I ended up obtaining a restraining order against him due to his concerning behavior. I suspect he may have taken my phone, as I found other belongings of mine hidden in his room. I am now unable to be reached through my borrowed cell phone due to issues with the wifi network caused by Bruce. I am wondering if there is a way to get a replacement for my missing Assurance Wireless phone. I promise to take better care of it and ensure it is not mishandled by anyone else.

I'm unfamiliar with this phone's functions. I simply want to use it like a regular device to make calls. However, I've encountered difficulty accessing the keypad. Notifications seem blocked due to Android or Do Not Disturb mode, despite my attempts to turn it off. I don't utilize Xfinity or Google services and cannot recall the passwords. I find it frustrating that these accounts are required for basic phone functions. I have no interest in syncing my laptop with the phone. What options exist for users like me who prefer not to have or use these accounts? It feels like I'm left with no alternative but to share personal details. Is there a way around this? Any assistance to restore my phone's functionality would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Forum Members, On September 16, [redacted], my phone was stolen by an acquaintance, Erica Kroeckel, residing in Aurora, Colorado. When I called it, non-English speakers answered. I would appreciate it if the phone number, [redacted], could be turned off. During my move, my phone went missing, and Erica is the only person who used it. Despite reaching out, she is ignoring me. My contact details are as follows: - Name: Bonnie Sue Hellem - Former address linked to the phone: [redacted] East Kentucky Ave Unit C, Glendale, Colorado [redacted] - Contact number: [redacted] I suspect Erica is involved in illicit activities, and I wish to avoid any entanglement. Kindly inform me once the phone is disabled to mitigate any potential issues. Thank you for your assistance. Best regards, Bonnie Sue Hellem

My name is Donna Marie Epperson. I am 70 years old and have had a stroke. I am trying to retrieve the PIN number for my phone with the number [redacted]. Due to my stolen social security card and the challenges of the pandemic, I had to apply online, and I now struggle to recall my SS number. I only remember my birthday thanks to my daughter's help. I am attempting to set up online bill pay, but I was surprised to learn that the PIN is a 6-digit, not a 4-digit number. The phone was stolen along with my SS card, and my daughter will provide me with a new one, but I need the PIN. It would be helpful to have the account number and update my address. Initially, the phone was set up at 30 Hadfield Ln Caseyville IL [redacted], but I now reside at [redacted] Delmore Terrace Caseyville IL [redacted]. Please assist me. When I called, the representatives were unkind due to my speech difficulties and memory issues. Although my son-in-law initially set up the phone, we are now estranged, and he refuses to provide the security question answer. I am reaching out for your much-needed help as I await my replacement SS card, and my daughter is unaware of the number. I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thank you in advance.

My phone was working fine until a few days ago when it stopped holding a charge and the charging port became loose. Eventually, it fell out, leaving me unable to charge it. Additionally, there is a small hole in the center of the SIM card, which I believe was caused by a sharp edge on the SIM card holder. As a result, I can't make calls or send texts due to a "no SIM" error. I am looking to purchase your most affordable basic phone since I am on a tight budget. Please text me at [redacted] with information on available phones and their prices. My name is Pasquala Sanchez, my phone number is [redacted], and my account PIN is [redacted]. Thank you.

I recently received a new UMX replacement cell phone from Assurance Wireless due to issues with my previous device. After activating it in August [redacted], I have been encountering numerous problems. The Bluetooth function has scratchy audio, the phone is slowing down, unwanted apps appear, and it frequently freezes. I suspect malware downloads are coming from a security flaw in the Google Chrome browser. Despite deactivating Chrome, the phone remains unusable most of the time. While I appreciate the ability to use safe mode for basic functionality, the phone's overall performance is unacceptable. Assurance Wireless should provide better quality phones to its customers. I've contacted tech support to inquire about purchasing a better phone with improved performance, but was told it's not possible. I intend to escalate this issue if it is not resolved promptly. Providing reliable phones is crucial for customers who depend on Assurance Wireless services.

I have been experiencing severe malfunctions with my Android UMX phone issued to me by Lifeline and Assurance Wireless for over a month now. I am unable to receive calls or text messages, including important notifications from Assurance Wireless, though occasionally I can make calls. I have previously reached out to Customer Service and obtained case number #[redacted]0. I am requesting a replacement phone that operates correctly.

My phone from Assurance Wireless was working perfectly until recently. It started losing charge quickly, and when I removed the battery, I noticed it was warped. The phone now refuses to charge, and when it was functioning, it heated up significantly, making me fear it might catch fire. The battery seems like it's on the verge of exploding or burning internally. I've had this phone for less than a year and would be grateful if I could receive a replacement. Even if it still functioned, I'd be too scared to use it due to the overheating. My model is UMX #U693CL, and I would appreciate a different model to avoid a repeat of this frightening experience. Thank you for addressing my concern. Best, Amanda M.

I recently received an email indicating that my PayPal auto-pay did not process successfully. My phone displays a notification suggesting that I am no longer eligible. Despite being an Assurance customer through Lifeline, I am facing challenges using my phone because of this discrepancy. Lifeline affirms my eligibility through Assurance, and I am currently not due for recertification. Regrettably, creating a new Lifeline account is not an option for me. I am experiencing complete service disruption - no calls, no messages, and even a factory reset is unattainable. Despite my efforts to re-submit the $15 payment for my bundle add-on, I have not seen the charge reflected on my card statement thus far. I have been unsuccessful in reaching a live representative at Assurance for assistance in resolving this complex issue.

Last week, my phone wouldn't charge and I contacted Assurance Wireless. They mentioned that my battery port was defective. Today, I received a replacement phone, but I'm struggling to transfer my contacts and apps. Despite trying all possible combinations of my PIN and Account numbers, I am unable to log in successfully. Although I answered the security question, I am still facing issues with logging in. Now, my new phone can receive calls, but I can't make any outgoing calls as I am stuck on the "Enter Emergency Number" screen. I attempted to input emergency numbers like [redacted] and the local sheriff's number, but unfortunately, the phone did not accept it.

I recently added data to my phone on a minutes-only plan and used about [redacted] MB before the data expired on the 7th. Now, my phone turns on but does not go to the main page, leaving me unable to contact anyone for help. When I visited the Assurance Wireless website to shop for a new phone, I noticed that there was only one option available, which is the UMX model for approximately $39.95. Previously, there were five phone options listed, with four being more expensive. I am unsure which offer is legitimate. I need assistance via email to guide me on the available phones and the next steps to take since my current phone is a replacement. Thank you.

I have an Assurance Wireless Lifeline phone provided to me due to my eligibility through Medicaid (CalOptima). Although my phone is still functional, it lacks service as I didn't renew it and was disconnected. Currently, I don't recall the phone number associated with it. My Medicaid coverage remains active, and I am seeking guidance on reactivating my account. I wish to know if I need to go through the entire application process again and whether I can use the same Alcatel lifeline phone I possess. Thank you for your help.

I am having trouble making calls on my phone. The screen is frozen, and it's prompting me to download something, claiming I haven't paid or have insufficient data, which is incorrect. It also suggests my battery might need recharging, even though it has been charging since 5:00 yesterday and shows it's fully charged. I can't access the battery to confirm this due to my arthritic hands. This Lifeline phone is my only means of contact, and I urgently need to call my doctor.

Hello, I need help with tech support. My previous iPhone was hacked by a neighbor boy who stole it. Two months later, his mom called Apple pretending to be me and activated the phone under my account. When I got another used iPhone, I realized they had been using it as if it were me. Unfortunately, I couldn't deactivate the account because it required a Windows computer and I didn't have one. I should have taken action sooner, but I thought it would resolve itself. However, I now wake up every day to find all my passwords changed and my identity compromised. He uses my accounts more than I do and has caused issues with my ZTE phone, which is now my third phone due to his actions. He even messes with my hotspot data. I'm struggling to keep up with changing everything back and need assistance. My phone number is no longer working correctly, and I'm at a loss. Can you please help me? My landline is [redacted].

I contacted Assurance Wireless three times seeking tech support to transfer photos from my Android phone to my computer but each time the techs were unable to resolve the issue. Eventually, I managed to solve it online by myself! Here's a step-by-step guide for transferring photos from an Android phone to a computer: 1) Connect the USB cable from your phone to your computer. 2) On your phone, select "charging this device via USB." 3) Choose "File Transfer" under "Use USB for" and proceed to transfer your photos before disconnecting the phone. I found this solution since the techs were giving incorrect information and reloading my phone mistakenly. I hope this helps others facing a similar problem. Grateful for Assurance Wireless and glad to provide this correction. Thank you, Robert H.

I have reached out multiple times now regarding the replacement of my UMX phone provided by Assurance. The first device had a charging problem shortly after receiving it. Assurance promptly replaced it, but with the same brand and model, which I find to be of poor quality. Just three weeks after getting the second phone, I started experiencing lagging issues, disappearing apps, and difficulty opening some applications, including my banking app. Despite following all instructions, the phone continued to malfunction. I contacted Assurance before the warranty expired, and they assured me they were investigating the matter due to COVID delays. However, the phone's charging problem persists with frequent bootloops. I am seeking assistance as I am returning to job hunting and need a reliable phone for interviews. I would appreciate guidance on returning the phone or replacing it. Thank you for your service and anticipated help. Stay safe and healthy. - Christopher M. Beste 17 4th Str. S.W. Apt .#[redacted] Rochester, MN [redacted] [redacted]

I experienced poor coverage with Sprint and was sent a replacement phone on the T-Mobile network. However, after activating it, I can only access the internet when connected to my home Wi-Fi. Despite following troubleshooting steps provided by two customer service representatives, the issue was not resolved and they did not follow up as promised. Having internet access is crucial for my gig shopping job, including logging into the app and using Google Maps for customer addresses. I am part of the CA lifeline program, which may be contributing to the problem. I am seeking financial assistance to address this issue.

Hello, I'm Angelina Maria Fallin. My phone's screen is severely cracked after it fell on concrete, making it hard to use and causing glass to get in my fingers. The phone is an Assurance Wireless U693CL with 4G mobile data and voice. The ICCID is [redacted][redacted]00, serial number 693CL[redacted], IMEI [redacted][redacted], IMEI SV 07, running Android version 9, software version U693CL_01.01.09.[redacted], hardware version Q5009-V1.0. My address is [redacted] C Romero Road Lot A, New Iberia, Louisiana [redacted]. My Assurance Wireless Plan is UNIMAX U693CL with 4G LTE, [redacted] Minutes, Unlimited Text, and 4.5GB Data. I need a replacement phone urgently as I rely on it for family, friends, job applications, and interviews, and the current phone doesn't charge properly or provide notifications. I recently bought the MUAMA RYOKO portable WiFi device at a high cost. Upon receiving it and inserting the SIM card provided with 500mb DATA from VIAOTA, the unit does not function. Despite continuous contact with VIAOTA, the issue remains unresolved. Despite their apologies, no effective solution has been provided. I am seeking a refund per the MR policy guarantee, but after two weeks of waiting for a return label, none has been received despite multiple requests. It seems they are attempting to delay beyond the 30-day return period. I also have a 3-year warranty on both items purchased for a total of $[redacted], excluding shipping. Any suggestions on what steps I can take would be appreciated. Thank you, S. B.

A few months back, I received a replacement phone after my original one stopped charging. However, the new phone began having charging issues after only a month. The connection seems faulty, and it has deteriorated to the point where it barely charges up to 1%. I've tested several chargers, but the problem persists, making me believe it might be a common problem with the UMX 6 phone model. Due to the charging problem, I can't use it to check emails or make/receive calls. Additionally, the camera always produces blurry pictures with what looks like a cracked edge. I urgently need a replacement phone to ensure I can communicate in case of an emergency. I'll be using my sister's email to receive your response.
