I purchased a couch a few months ago and it was delivered the day before Christmas Eve. Apparently it was a third party company that was hired to delivered the furniture. They spent an hour in my home during which time I called customer service two times. I was talked into keeping the furniture being told I would have a brand new couch because there was no way that anyone could fix the problem. I literally had to put to cinder blocks on my couch to keep the cushions from making a triangle. I had surgery right after Christmas that is why I am just now following up. The people in Arizona, corporate office customer service could care less. The two men that came out and fixed my couch we're here for a few hours. The back is still not straight. One of the men who sounds like he's been with Ashley Furniture repair for quite some time was sick or had severe allergy problems. He was Dripping sweat and stuff from his nose for two hours while he was bent over my couch. I am completely disgusted! I ordered a brand new couch and this is what I got! I contacted several people from customer service here spoke, as well as my adult daughter who was here the entire process as she was staying with me for the holiday. I even contacted the sales rep from Ashley Furniture where I purchased the couch. I am in my forties and have purchased Furniture through Ashley Furniture on and off for years. I am absolutely shocked how I have been treated!!! I had someone calling me the beginning of the year on and off from customer care, we kept playing phone tag. He knew from messages I had left that I was extremely unhappy with my purchase, I had been highly taken advantage of to an extreme and that if he wasn't planning on taking this couch out of my home then to not bother calling back. I asked him to leave a number of someone higher up which I didn't get. I want this couch taken out of my house and will never ever work with Ashley Furniture again. Do too many of the things I am reading it doesn't appear that anyone from Ashley Furniture cares because you are such a large company. My daughter was treated so rudely trying to help me. She has posted reviews and will be helping me to file some form of a claim through a family member who is an attorney. I am SMI in the state of Arizona .. Severely mentally ill. That's not something I talk about but I will be absolutely speaking with my attorney about it. I have the records from everyone I have spoke with. This couch was delivered December **rd of ****. I was actually going to order it through classy homes online, apparently out of the East Coast because they were much less than what you were selling this for in your store in Arizona. I actually was being kind-hearted wanting the gal to get a commission. This is not something I will drop. I haven't had the time or Focus to follow through with this but now that I am done with my recovery from my surgery I am going to put every free moment I have writing reviews and doing what I can to get my money back for this couch. I was going to put it on Craigslist or offer up but why should I lose half of what I paid a few weeks ago. I do not have the funds for that but I absolutely will not be keeping this couch. It is poor quality. It does not look like a brand new couch and after the experience I had with the repair people it is ***% not a brand new couch. I am not threatening an attorney I'm actually going to be contacting and setting something up along with the people that help me on a monthly basis that work with SMI individuals. My daughter and I have spoken with them, they will be helping with the legality issue of my contract unless something is done before I get started.
