I have just returned from trying to pick up an order in ASDA Motherwell. *I entered the store about *.**pm to find the collection point out of order with the instruction to contact the service desk. I therefore went in to buy a few grocery items having decided to go to the service desk after this as it was on my way out. *I was delayed at the self service check out by a storage box I had purchased which had no bar code. The lady on at that area could not go for another for me as she was alone so I offered to leave the rest of my shop and go get one myself. *After completing this I went to the service desk to request my order but was told I might be too late. I actually had been standing there for a minute as the lady was packing a shelf of cigarettes. She did not appear to know that the self service collection point was out of order as she directed me back there to speak to the security guard, who had not been at his desk when I arrived. I thought this odd but went over to him to be told I was too late as it was **.**pm. It apparently closes at ** pm but there was nothing on the out of order sign to say this so I asked if an exception could be made but was told no. The security guard was very pleasant and trying to be helpful but I was annoyed at this now as I had entered the store on time, done as I was told but still could not collect my item. There was nothing on display to say you had to collect before **pm so I asked to speak to a supervisor.*The guard called her but she passed by on her way out and only stopped to talk to me when the gentleman said I wanted to make a complaint. She was most unhelpful and only pointed out to me that there was another device on the other side of the display that gave the times. I did not know there was a second collection device. Regardless, my issue was there was nothing on the broken one to alert me to anything. Also, has I not been delayed twice by circumstances as I described at the * previous tills in which your staff were again involved, I would have been at the collection point before **pm. *The manner in which my complaint was dealt with was extremely poor and I told the service manager my issue was not being resolved. She said she was off duty so there was nothing she could do now. *I am left very disappointed and dissatisfied with the service. I did not even get an apology for my inconvenience. Surely customer service should be better than this ASDA?
