On *st November I returned a pair of boots to the argos store, I was told I would receive my refund in *-* working days, after * days I rang customer services who contacted the store to confirm the return. It was confirmed the boots showed as being returned on the stores system, I was told I should receive my refund within * -* working days & there had been an internet 'glitch' when I'd returned my item which is why the refund had not been processed. I have waited a further * working days I have still recieved no refund, I rang again today & was told the store was supposed to email something over confirming my return, however it had already been confirmed by the store whilst I was on the phone the first time. I have now been told it will be passed onto the finance team & I should receive my refund again in *-* working days. I'm utterly disgusted at the lack of communication between the store & head office, I will have waited * weeks for my refund providing it actually gets processed this time around! It's rather convenient that you take my money before I even have the goods yet I returned those boots & you have probably since sold them on & I still haven't had my money back! It also seems a bit bizarre you would use an internet based machine to process refunds if these glitches are likely to happen. Luckily for me it wasnt hundreds of pounds I was waiting to have refunded. I feel the service has been terrible & I'm utterly disappointed. I regularly pay for my items before I collect from argos but I certainly won't be doing that anymore. Many thanks for your time I look forward to your response.
