Help with my Argos issue

I was given a pair of Dr Dre headphone for my birthday in october ****. The headphone became faulty ** after the one year warranty expired. I contacted Argos and spoke to a young lady who informed me to report it to apple and if apple acknowledged the fault and gave me a reference number then they would be prepared to exchange them. I did this and contacted Argos back with the reference number, however i did not get the same agent just some rude arrogant agent who implied that i was making lying and fraudulently trying to exchange the headphone for a new one. This agent by the name of Lisa had me on live chat for over * hours until she wore me down and the conversation had to end. I again contacted Argos the following day over the same issue and was informed by one member of staff that i could bring the product back to the store for an exchange, which i did only to be humiliated by the manager in front of her staff and customers. I went back to live chat and was speaking to an agent who's manager Terry then took over the conversation only to leave me in limbo without informing me that he was termination the conversation. Based on my experience over a two day period Argos should now exchange the headphone as a good will gesture. The treatment by three members of there staff which i feel to be totally unacceptable means i will NEVER shop in Argos again.

To be honest I couldn't get through to Argos so i sent them a stern e-mail about the whole situation. I am now waiting for a response.
