I used to work at the Benton/West City Applebee's Bar and Grill. Due to a car accident, I was on medical leave and eventually got terminated as my doctor never cleared me. When I inquired about my W-2 in February, Sheila B. and Allie O. mentioned they would be mailed by March, but I haven't received it as of March 25th. I need it by April 15th for filing. I'm unsure why it hasn't arrived. How can I proceed? Is there someone specific I should contact or a number I can call? I wanted to share a positive experience from last weekend at Applebee's in Clermont, Florida regarding the exceptional service provided by Kendall, our server. Despite challenging customers nearby, Kendall remained professional, patient, and graceful throughout our meal. She not only took great care of our family but also skillfully managed a difficult situation with other guests. I believe it's important to recognize outstanding service, and I would appreciate it if you could pass along our praise to the Clermont location. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Katelynn. The other day, I ordered food for myself and my two babies, but my order was completely wrong. I had requested no pink on my cheeseburger, but it arrived overly pink, resembling blood red, and was also soggy. Despite paying extra for onion strings and bacon to accompany the burger, they were missing. The cheese sticks I ordered were hard, chewy, and some were smushed. Additionally, when I inquired about a shake, there was confusion, and the shake I received was only halfway filled. This whole experience cost me nearly $40, and it was frustrating as my children did not like the food either. I would appreciate some assistance as most of the food remains uneaten, and my son, who is four years old and has cerebral palsy, has specific dietary needs. Thank you for understanding.

During our visit to your Terrell, TX location on Saturday, my wife, a doctor, and I encountered an issue due to our mask exemptions. Upon entry, we were informed by your host that masks were required, despite our exemptions. We requested to speak with the manager but received the same response. As a public accommodation, federal law prohibits denying access based on exemptions. By not making accommodations for those exempt, you may have violated civil rights laws and committed discrimination, which are protected under the EEOC and ADA. Executive orders do not hold the same weight as laws, and without state legislative approval, they lack authority. We are considering legal action if this matter is not addressed appropriately and in accordance with the law.

On March 3, [redacted], we celebrated my fiancé's 50th birthday at Applebee's, a place we often enjoy. Unfortunately, our dining experience was subpar. The double crunch shrimp Kevin ordered was soggy, accompanied by a mere 8 French fries. Surprised by the portion size, I inquired, and the waitress promptly brought more fries. My 8oz sirloin steak was tough and full of tendons, and my once-favorite green beans were overcooked. Despite these disappointments, I chose not to complain further to avoid upsetting my fiancé on his special day. When it came time to pay, I intended to cover the meal, but the waitress made a crass comment about not letting my fiancé pay to receive a special favor. Her inappropriate remarks continued, culminating in highly inappropriate suggestions. Our evening was marred by her unprofessional behavior, turning what should have been a memorable celebration into an unforgettable experience for all the wrong reasons.

I attempted to take my daughter out to eat following her graduation, but we were a group of 10 and the Manager, Noah, turned us away at your Willoughby Ohio location (store # [redacted]) on 05/21/21 at around 12:20pm. He mentioned they couldn't accommodate us due to staffing issues. This experience was disappointing as it was my daughter's choice to dine at your restaurant, only to be denied. Surprisingly, we found other nearby restaurants like Cracker Barrel, Bob Evans, and Texas Roadhouse accommodating all their guests even with the current circumstances. I personally run a business and have never turned away a customer, especially in times like these when we are supporting local businesses. The restaurant was not even busy at the time we arrived. Regrettably, I will not be returning to this location in the future.

I regret to share my disappointing experience at your Valdosta, GA restaurant today. Accompanied by my daughter, we were seated at a table near the only other guests, facing a booth with a noticeable foot-long tear in the seat cover exposing dirty foam. The waitress, who greeted us with a concerning cough, proceeded to handle our menus with the same hand she used to cover her cough. When inquired about her vaccination status, she claimed to be vaccinated but dismissed the idea of wearing a mask while coughing due to being on antibiotics for two days. Despite a nearly empty restaurant, our drinks and salads were served after a prolonged wait. Upon realizing our onion rings were missing, the delay in their arrival was met with unprofessional responses regarding their placement on the bill. The overall lack of attentiveness and hygiene standards displayed left me deeply dissatisfied. I had a job interview at Applebee's yesterday after being out of work since COVID began in [redacted]. During the interview, they asked about my age, which I found unrelated to the job requirements. I noticed a shift in the interview tone after that question, moving from immediate discussion to a promise of contacting me later. I've had many interviews, but this was a new experience for me. I'm not alleging discrimination, but I believe there are more tactful ways to gather information without coming across as offensive.

I attempted to order online for carside pickup to celebrate my birthday, but the promotional offer for a free dessert was not working. After realizing the offer might have expired, I placed the order without the dessert. However, the order still wouldn't go through, causing frustration as I had to re-enter my card information multiple times. This issue has happened before, leading to wasted time and leaving without any food. I believe birthday offers should be redeemable even after the exact date, and I hope this situation can be resolved for future orders.

I would like to address an incident that occurred at Applebees in Pottstown where there was a breach of confidentiality regarding my brother's health condition. On April 10, [redacted], I tried to have a professional discussion with the manager on duty, Amy, who seemed indifferent and mentioned not caring about whom I had spoken to previously. I was under the impression Amy was on vacation and unaware of the situation with my brother who was hospitalized. Despite expressing my concerns about confidentiality, Applebees staff continued to discuss my brother's whereabouts with multiple individuals. I request a call back to discuss this issue further. I recently brought a senior group to the Applebee's near Oakview Mall. Despite calling ahead to inform them about our group of 10, upon arrival, the greeter appeared to struggle to assign us to a server. Eventually, after some reluctance, two servers played rock-paper-scissors to decide who would serve us. The service was disappointing, especially when one server went on break without giving us our checks, leaving us waiting for 30 minutes. Even more concerning was the lack of professionalism displayed by the staff, with the manager seemingly unconcerned about the situation. These experiences were particularly disheartening considering I am a regular customer at this location.

I visited Applebee's in Branson, MO, for Father's Day with my wife, expecting the same service as in Terre Haute, IN, where we usually dine. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We were promptly seated but waited over half an hour for drinks and 45 more minutes for our steaks, which were gray and unappetizing. Our waitress forgot one of our orders, and the service was slow. The table was wobbly, and attempts to level it with napkins were evident. We had to request silverware and A1 sauce multiple times. The lack of drink refills added to the unpleasant experience. After finishing our meal, we waited another 30 minutes for the check. Our server's name was listed as Erikka N. Overall, the restaurant's service and quality were subpar, and I would not recommend it.

Last night, on Sunday, September 18, [redacted], around 9:15 PM, my group and I dined at Applebee's. During our meal, we discovered that the credit card system was down, and they could only accept cash. The Manager, Melinda, had the waitstaff relay this information to patrons instead of addressing it herself. A situation arose where a large group of young diners was unable to pay as they didn't have cash. Melinda instructed them to find an ATM nearby. Despite her directive for staggered departures, they all left simultaneously. The payment app was functional, but Melinda insisted that it wasn't and insisted on cash. Her handling of the matter was deemed unprofessional. She avoided taking responsibility and even argued with a customer who had to incur an ATM fee to settle the bill. We managed to scrounge up enough cash to pay but noted that many customers don't typically carry cash, and the late notice was unfair to them. It would have been more appropriate for Melinda, as the Manager, to address the situation personally rather than assigning the task to the waitstaff. This encounter was our first with this Manager, and her conduct was unprofessional, unsupportive of staff, and would have been better resolved with a more considerate approach.

I am facing a serious issue with an individual at a local Applebee’s restaurant. This person was a former server but now holds a manager's card. He consistently discriminates against me by changing my shifts last minute or sending me home after a short time at work. I work hard and feel disrespected by his actions, creating a hostile environment. I enjoy my job as a waitress and do not wish to quit because of him. I am disappointed with the Veteran's Day Tribute at Applebee's. For the past three years, I have attempted to bring my husband, a veteran, for a complimentary meal to honor his service. Regrettably, despite my efforts, the Rutland, VT Applebee's does not accept reservations. Just moments ago, I contacted the Rutland location and was informed that reservations are still not being taken, even after the fiasco from last year's Veteran's Day event. Last year, we experienced a long wait, over an hour, before abandoning our attempt and seeking food elsewhere for my diabetic husband. This year, with his increased mobility issues, waiting outside for an uncertain amount of time is not feasible. It is imperative that Applebee's reconsider their reservation policy on Veteran's Day to ensure all veterans can be properly accommodated.

I previously reported a concerning issue at your Oshkosh restaurant which seemed to have stopped but has now resumed. During a recent visit, a friend paid with cash and I noticed the troubling practice happening again. The waitress confirmed it was a corporate policy. This behavior is appalling. If this is indeed your protocol, I and my friends will no longer dine there. Do your servers ask customers if they want change back when settling their bill? Please advise. While dining, an autistic employee named Michael had interactions with my family. He approached my grandson, who is four years old, and persisted in questioning if he was alright despite not being able to speak. Another staff member noticed the situation and intervened. Throughout the meal, Michael interacted with my three-year-old, making comments that were embarrassing and hurtful. Although I work with children with special needs and understand his behavior, it was uncomfortable for us. I believe that he might need better supervision to avoid such incidents in the future.
