I recently dined at Applebee's on Clark Road in Sarasota hoping for vegetarian options, but was disappointed by the limited choices. Despite the waiter's effort to accommodate my dietary needs by suggesting a vegetarian flatbread, it turned out to be unsatisfactory. I struggled through a small portion of garlic potatoes and over-oiled grilled vegetables. To make things worse, my preferred wine was unavailable, leaving me with Chardonnay. At over $60 for a meal only my husband could enjoy, I left the restaurant hungry and disheartened. Applebee's should reconsider its menu to better serve vegetarian and vegan customers as their current offerings are lacking. I hope for improvements before I consider returning. I visited Applebee's at [redacted] N. University Drive in Tamarac with my mother, which has been our tradition for the past three years. Upon arrival, we found the waiting area near the host station crowded with approximately 12 customers. The host, Tim, informed us of a 15-minute wait even though the restaurant appeared to be 90% empty. Concerned about my 81-year-old mother standing, we decided to leave and dine elsewhere. We are disappointed by the lack of respect shown towards customers and have chosen not to purchase a $50 gift card, as we had done multiple times in the past. Applebee's, you have lost a loyal customer due to poor management.

We placed our order but faced significant delays when a large party arrived after us. Despite ordering pasta, steak, hamburgers, chicken, shrimp, and wings for our group of 6, our food arrived cold. After sending it back, the large party received their food promptly while we waited 30 minutes for ours to be reheated and served individually. Due to the delay, the last person in our group didn't get to eat as everyone else had finished. When we complained, the manager reacted poorly but eventually comped half of our meal and offered a free appetizer for our next visit. However, given multiple recent poor experiences at this Applebee's, this gesture fell short. I feel that addressing service issues goes beyond offering comps, and as a result, I won't be returning to this location. It's disappointing that a free appetizer couldn't make up for the frustration of receiving cold food and poor service. It's important for management to take customer feedback seriously to avoid further dissatisfaction. I would rate Applebee’s Fresno a -10 based on this experience.

My mom and I visited the Topeka, KS location and experienced a nearly one-hour wait for our food. Despite inquiring with the waitress, she ignored us. Even for simple requests like water, she seemed dismissive and forgot. As time passed, we had to leave for a show we had booked. When our food finally arrived after an hour, it was incomplete due to them running out of baked potatoes. This led to a frustrating interaction as they did not offer an alternative earlier. When I inquired about a refund, the waitress appeared confused. The whole ordeal left us dissatisfied and upset, especially considering the meal cost $50. It was a terrible dining experience that culminated in me having a panic attack on my way to the car.

I have recently visited the Applebee’s in Newark, NJ on Springfield Avenue multiple times, and unfortunately, my experiences have been nothing short of disappointing. Despite the car side to go service promising a greeting within 30 seconds, I have consistently waited longer each time I visited. On top of this, my order was not ready for pick up at the specified time, resulting in further delays. Upon returning home, I discovered my order was incorrect, adding to my frustration. This marks the third unsatisfactory visit, and I am requesting a refund or a service coupon to address the subpar customer service. Best regards, A concerned patron

I am reaching out to address a recent experience at your Bartram Park location in Jacksonville, FL. On the evening of November 18, my family and I dined at the restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. Unfortunately, my meal was delayed due to being mistakenly taken by another server. My mother and daughter reported that their chicken was undercooked, but chose not to raise the issue. When my delayed meal finally arrived, it was also undercooked. Upon requesting to speak with the manager, Joshua Broadway inspected my meal and insisted it was cooked properly. His attitude was dismissive, offering a partial discount, and undermining our concerns. This encounter, although somewhat humorous, was embarrassing and uncomfortable for us. Given my past positive experiences at Applebee's, I felt it was important to bring this incident to your attention.

On January, my spouse and I dined at the Traverse City, MI Applebee's. I opted for the half rack of ribs with a side salad featuring raspberry vinaigrette, broccoli, and pepper-free fries. Our server, Timothy C., brought olive oil and a red liquid, unsure if it was raspberry vinegar. I requested ranch dressing instead. Upon receiving my food, I discovered the fries were peppered despite Tim's instructions. He apologized and replaced them. However, the ribs were charred and tough, prompting Tim to arrange a full rack replacement at no cost. Despite finishing my meal, I found the broccoli spoiled the next day, with 25% unusable due to spoilage and dirt. While a manager apologized and offered a 10% discount, the poor quality of the meal left me disappointed and disrespected. I believe a full comp is warranted given the overall experience and subpar quality. It's clear that the kitchen staff may benefit from reevaluation and further training.

I have already completed a survey about my complaint, but it doesn't seem to be enough. My sister, my 5-year-old niece, and I went to Applebee's in Farmville for Sunday dinner. The server convinced my sister to try the all-you-can-eat meal, but then never brought her more food. I had finished eating, and my niece was ready to leave before her second plate was even prepared. When we asked to speak to a manager, the server argued with us, making the situation very uncomfortable. It ruined our outing, and my sister was upset at me for speaking up. The server's name was AngelaW at the Farmville, VA location. Despite giving her a $5 veterans card, she claimed it had already been used based on an expiration date, which I was unaware of. My niece missed out on dessert, and the whole experience was stressful and embarrassing. It's a shame to be treated poorly, especially since we've enjoyed dining there in the past. I hope AngelaW receives better training to avoid similar situations for other families visiting your restaurant.

My spouse and I visited the Allen Park, Michigan location yesterday around 5:30 pm. We were seated promptly, but our waitress took a while to greet us. She eventually took our drink and food orders after some delay. Unfortunately, my husband's drink took 20 minutes to arrive, and the waitress seemed to forget our food order. When the food arrived, it wasn't exactly what we had ordered. Additionally, the French onion soup, which we requested first, came out late. When we decided to skip the soup, the bill was initially incorrect, but it was eventually fixed. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I felt like my Christmas gift card was wasted. I believe the issues stemmed from our waitress not writing down our order. Despite usually enjoying Applebee's, I may take a break from visiting for a while.

On Saturday, January 5, [redacted], we (a party of three) visited your restaurant on Grant Avenue in Auburn, New York. Upon arrival, we provided our name to the attendant and were informed of a ten to fifteen-minute wait. Throughout our wait, we observed at least two empty tables visible and noticed several empty tables while customers were waiting to be seated. Despite occasional seating of parties, empty tables remained while customers waited to be seated. After approximately thirty minutes, we were finally seated. As we left, one of the initially empty tables was still unoccupied. This recurring issue has been noted during past visits. While we understand a wait may be necessary, we are curious about the presence of empty tables when customers are waiting to be seated. Could someone clarify the rationale behind this practice?

My husband and I recently dined at Applebee's on Oakland Park in Lauderhill over a week ago. We opted for the all-you-can-eat menu. I wasn't very hungry, so I nibbled on my husband's fries. The manager confronted me, explaining we couldn't share meals loudly. Despite ordering an additional item to take home, when I questioned the sharing policy with the manager, the waitress responded rudely, suggesting we go elsewhere next time for all-you-can-eat. The manager apologized for the waitress's behavior, and despite a billing error of $1.99, which went uncorrected, we settled the bill. This encounter marked the first time I've experienced such poor customer service.

Last Sunday, my husband and I visited Applebee’s on Curtner Ave in San Jose after church. We entered the bar area to catch the end of a football game. Despite several empty tables, they were all filled with dishes. We spotted a young lady and politely asked her to clean a table. After attempting with napkins that got soaked, we requested a towel but were met with some attitude. Despite the issues, we stayed as I didn't want to go elsewhere. The situation escalated when the server got visibly frustrated and walked away. We were then approached by another lady who apologized for the incident and took our order to ensure our day wasn't ruined. Eventually, another server, Layla, took over, but the awkwardness from the initial encounter lingered, affecting our dining experience.

My recent visit to this location was quite unexpected. About two weeks ago, a friend and I chose this spot due to its proximity to my school where I had an evening class. Upon entering, we noticed there was no host to greet us, unlike other places. A lady eventually showed us to a table near the bar, which was unsteady. After requesting a different table, we were moved. While waiting for our food, we endured loud customers near the bar, including a disruptive individual standing on tables. Despite this, the food was excellent, although the noisy atmosphere was challenging. The server was surprised by our positive feedback, mentioning the slow day as a possible reason. When I raised concerns to the manager, Kenisha, about the lack of discipline in managing the establishment and addressing unruly behavior, the response was unsatisfactory. On the afternoon of February 2, [redacted] at 3PM, my family and I had a disappointing experience at the restaurant we visited. Upon arrival, the hostess informed us of a 10-15 minute wait for a booth. Shortly after, a couple without a reservation arrived and was promptly seated in a booth, leaving us puzzled. Eventually, we were seated 20 minutes later. Despite the delay, we were left unattended by a waiter for 10 minutes until Angel finally approached us, neglecting to introduce himself or clarify his role. It took an additional 15 minutes for our drink orders to be taken. Although we requested straws, they were never brought to our table. Fortunately, Jeff took over and provided excellent service, salvaging our experience. Despite visiting many Applebee's locations in California, the neglect we experienced at the Bakersfield establishment on Ming Ave was unparalleled.

I used to work at the Williamstown, New Jersey Applebee's location. I started on August 15 as a Host, and it was a great job with friendly coworkers and supportive management. However, things took a turn when my manager Joanna left for the Vineland location. Our Assistant Manager James came in and started creating a hostile environment for us Hosts. He encouraged servers to mistreat us, stopped helping with tasks, and would shame and force us into unfair situations like making me walk long distances for arbitrary items. After enduring a toxic environment, I decided to leave on January 10. But my unpleasant experience didn't end there. During a recent visit with my sister, we were treated disrespectfully by a host named Lorrain who even used profanity towards us, causing a scene in front of other guests. The lack of response from the manager James was disappointing. Now we choose to dine at the Deptford, NJ location where we feel valued as customers. I hope that appropriate action is taken against Lorrain for her behavior towards customers, as I have experienced firsthand her disrespectful attitude. My once favorite restaurant, Applebee's, has left a bitter taste in my mouth due to this unfortunate experience.

On February 8th, at around 11:15PM, I placed an online order with Applebee's at [redacted] Franklin Rd in Marietta, GA. The location closed at 2:00AM and accepted online orders until 1:00AM. Despite receiving an estimated 45-minute wait time with an arrival time of 12:04 AM, my order did not arrive by 12:20 AM. Upon calling the restaurant, I was informed that the order was on its way. However, by 1:00AM, the order had still not been delivered. Despite multiple attempts to contact the restaurant, all my calls were mysteriously disconnected. Eventually, my boyfriend went to the restaurant with a Lyft only to find out that the order needed to be placed through DoorDash, which was not indicated anywhere on the website during ordering. I would like a refund of the $27.86 spent.

Moments after using my debit card at your establishment, I received a fraudulent message from someone purporting to be my bank, requesting suspicious information regarding my card. This alarming incident occurred at the Applebee's on Big Bend Road in Riverview at approximately 1:45 PM EST on Sunday, February 10, [redacted]. The email I received contained a fraudulent link to my bank's website, which I refrained from clicking. This occurrence leads me to believe that there may have been a data breach at Applebee's, exposing customers to potential fraud. The swift timing of this fraudulent message, immediately after using my debit card at your establishment, raises concerns about the security of your systems. On the night of 2/15/19, I visited this establishment. The manager claimed I had walked out on a tab from 2/8/19 amounting to roughly $26. I was willing to clear the bill if provided with proof, but the manager refused to show any evidence and was unhelpful and rude. Despite having spent over $[redacted] at this place for my business Christmas party, I was treated poorly. As someone in the restaurant business as well, I expect better conduct. This incident left me embarrassed in front of my coworkers. This experience, along with other past issues, indicate a need for improvement at this establishment.

I recently visited Applebee's in Rehoboth Beach, DE with my daughter who was visiting from PA. We ordered the all-you-can-eat riblets, chicken, and shrimp, which turned out to be disappointing. The food quality was subpar with flat bones and frozen chicken. I was so unhappy with the meal that I ended up just ordering a bland salad, while my daughter struggled with her plate as well. The waitress kindly removed the charge for the all-you-can-eat option, but the experience still bothers me. We did not enjoy the food at all, and I would appreciate either a reimbursement or something of equal value to what I paid for our unsatisfactory meal on 1/21/19 for $34.75. Good afternoon, I ordered takeout from the Anderson location for myself and my fiancé. We had a chicken basket and a build your own appetizer with 3 choices: two honey BBQ boneless wings and pretzels. I also ordered a cherry Sierra Mist with grenadine. Upon arrival, I encountered a loud argument between two female workers with a manager and two other workers present, causing an uncomfortable atmosphere. The to-go girl was polite but struggled to hear me due to the commotion. She tried to quiet them down, but they turned on her, yelling about manners in front of a customer. Upon checking my order at home, I discovered I was missing fries from my basket, my Sierra Mist was plain, and I only received one order of wings instead of two that I paid for. This experience left us feeling disappointed, disrespected, and still hungry. My name for the order was Mannie, and I hope to receive the missing items I paid for.
