Background information: **The last time we used Amtrak, the stop at Lancaster, Pa was so quick that the train was already leaving the station by the time we got our luggage down to exit the train. We alerted the conductor and he advised us to go two more stops and he would get us on another train heading back to Lancaster. He ensured us getting on a train heading back and requested that train’s conductors to make sure we were able to get off at Lancaster. Both these conductors were very customer oriented. **COMPLAINT:*However, on September **, ****, we took a train from NY, NY leaving at **:** with a stop again at Lancaster, Pa.*Because of our previous experience, we got our luggage down two stops before Lancaster and placed then on*two empty seats. There were only maybe * passengers in our car and about the same in the next car. **Conductor Kendell (name may not be spelled right), in a very unpleasant tone scolded us, telling us that seats were for passengers. I tried to tell her of our previous experience as why we had our luggage scattered and no passenger needed a seat. Again, in a very nasty tone, she said “that was last time, this is another time”. By this time is was clear that she just wanted to flaunt her authority and I had enough of her attitude and responded to her continued harassment in the same nasty tone she continued to speak to us. **It was embarrassing that the few passenger’s in our car witness this kind of behavior from a conductor. Conductor Kendell needs to be reprimanded on how she treated us and reminded that passengers should be treated respectfully and compassion. We didn’t want to miss our stop again and when she began to scold us it was only one stop before Lancaster. Without passengers’ conductors would not be needed.
