Mother Nadine Rice had a bad experience starting with the initial boarding of her train experience. She *st encounter who she believe is Dan (Ticket Agent) to whom did not put her on her original *:**am schedule train but her luggage made the train. (He did not give an explanation other than you have to take the next train) He put her on the next train and charge her $** more to ride. In doing so, she missed her event that she was traveling to be apart of. The train she actually rode, had electrical problems which ultimately caused her to get to her destination even later. Causing her to endure a longer period on the train at the age of ** years old. If that was not enough, she boarded the train in Chicago heading towards STL, and the train stopped abruptly and caused her to fall on her left side of her body. The employees on the train was very attentive and friendly to her as she tried to endure the discomfort that the fall caused to her body. Please have someone call me at ********* (Crevonda Nance) or Nadine Rice at **********. This experience was very hard on Mother Rice both mentally and physically and I hope this was an isolated incident. Our elderly should be treated with respect and I do not believe that that happened in several instances during her trip. Starting with the lazy Agent in STL, to the train having technical issues, as well as her falling due to the train's abrupt stop.
GetHuman-crevonda did not yet indicate what Amtrak should do to make this right.
