As a youth Red Cross volunteer last summer at Fort Carson Evans Community Army Hospital, I am eager to participate again this summer as a high school senior. I am uncertain if I missed the deadline to submit my application form. Unfortunately, the hospital does not provide an email contact, and I prefer not to call. I am seeking guidance on how to inquire about the deadline extension given my prior volunteer experience. Your assistance on determining if the deadline has passed and the possibility of securing an extension would be greatly appreciated.

I have been homeless for nearly a year now, struggling with addiction and mental health issues. I am fighting to get my Social Security income benefits reinstated, but it has been challenging. I feel like there is no help available, even though I've heard about a homeless task force in Simi Valley. However, I am not sure whom to reach out to for assistance. When I receive court summons, I cannot afford bus fare to attend, which leads to warrants being issued against me. I am feeling lost and frustrated by the lack of support for those who truly need it. The cold weather in Southern California this year only adds to my struggles.

I don't have a complaint, just a concern. Lately, at blood donation drives, they struggled to use my scarred arm due to multiple donations, causing the last one to fail. It felt awful to see the blood go to waste. During my cataract surgery, my arms were also unusable for IVs, resorting to my hand. I will stop donating to preserve my arm for my children's needs. Please do not contact me for donations as declining would be difficult for me. Thank you, Martha Ann G.

I have been mistakenly identified as having the Hepatitis C virus, and I would like to rectify this situation. Since [redacted], I have tested positive for Hepatitis C antibodies due to my participation in a vaccination test group run by Johns Hopkins. Although my yearly tests have consistently shown no presence of the virus, the misidentification persists. I have attempted to contact local Red Cross branches through email, in-person visits, and phone calls, but have not received any guidance on how to correct this error. The mix-up has affected my ability to donate my much-needed O+ blood, as my antibody detection is tied to my SSN. I was initially promised counseling, which I did not receive due to the absence of the virus and the lingering mislabeling. This issue needs to be resolved promptly.

I was mistakenly identified as a carrier of the Hepatitis C virus back in [redacted]. I tested positive for antibodies for Hep C, but subsequent yearly tests have consistently shown negative results. I participated in a Johns Hopkins immunization study, and it's possible that I developed antibodies during that period. I am eager to have my record corrected by the Red Cross so that I can resume donating my O+ blood, which is in high demand.

I need assistance clearing my record of being labeled as a carrier of Hepatitis C. In ****, I was initially flagged for having antibodies during a blood donation, which led to further testing showing negative results each year since. I was involved in a Johns Hopkins study on immunizations where I could have developed antibodies during the blind tests. I'm seeking to rectify my record with the Red Cross to be able to donate my O* blood, as I have never had a positive virus test. It’s important to me to donate blood regularly and responsibly, and I have always been truthful and cautious. I am reaching out to local blood drive offices and relevant personnel for support with this matter.

I recently purchased two books and a CPR training class. Unfortunately, the books were returned without being opened. I am eagerly awaiting a $[redacted] refund to be credited back to my credit card. The return was sent back promptly at my own expense of $14.64, as I was unable to refuse the delivery in person. The package was returned with tracking number [redacted]57 and signed for by B. Hill at 11:19am yesterday. Despite my efforts in contacting customer service via phone, live chat, and multiple emails, the refund has not been processed after nearly a week. I also attempted to cancel the order immediately after purchase due to the training class being too far away, yet it was still dispatched the next day. I truly appreciate your assistance in reimbursing my credit card promptly. Thank you. Gina T. [redacted] Lantern Tree Ln Wellington, FL [redacted]

I am urgently seeking help for Mary Micheal, an American citizen born in the USA, who is currently in a hospital in Lagos, Nigeria. She needs $[redacted] to pay for food as the hospital has stopped providing it and is threatening to send her to jail. This is very distressing as Nigerian prisons are dangerous. Mary is my wife, and I am unable to send money via Western Union as my post office is refusing to accept my documents. Please assist as quickly as possible, she is offering a generous donation in return. Nigeria does not have a bureau of change, complicating the situation further. You can reach Mary at +[redacted]. She was born in Connecticut and is 39 years old. Nigeria is not a safe country, and I fear for her safety. I used to be a rescuer for the Red Cross, and I care deeply for Mary. Please do not leave her stranded in this situation. Thank you for your help and consideration.

Today, we visited the blood donation center in Lafayette, TN, located at the Church Of Christ on Church St. Unfortunately, there were no signs guiding us from the road to the back of the building. Upon arrival, we noticed a red cross box truck at the building entrance. We had to search for an unlocked door as the main entrance was locked, with no signage. The box truck obstructed the sidewalk while there was plenty of available parking space. Inside, we were told to sign in using a computer, but no assistance was provided, and no one was able to sign in easily. After the blood donation, there were no snacks or drinks offered. This was an incredibly unprofessional experience compared to our previous donations. It's important to maintain professionalism to encourage more people to donate. Thank you, Jack Pedigo.

Dear Sir, We are a branch of the Red Cross in Baja California, Mexico. Our organization, with its own registered By-Laws, is facing a situation while transitioning to a new President. The current President of the Red Cross Hospital we support is now stating that we must adhere to the hospital's By-Laws, which we have not encountered in our 50 years of operation in Rosarito. We are seeking guidance on whether we can proceed with the appointment of the newly elected President, scheduled for Thursday, December 12th, without the hospital's approval. The elected President has previously served on two consecutive boards. We urgently need clarification as the Hospital's President insists on compliance with their By-Laws before allowing the change. If you are unable to provide an answer, please direct us to a source where we can obtain the necessary information. Thank you for your assistance. We kindly request a response within the next 24 hours.

I had an appointment today to donate blood after 26 years. I went through the assessment, answered all questions, and booked the appointment. However, at the interview, I was deemed ineligible due to a past address from [redacted] without receiving a specific reason. Although back then I had a liver issue due to alcohol, my health has improved significantly since. My frustration stems from not being informed of this online beforehand, as I drove 20 miles only to be turned away publicly. If a person's prior history affects eligibility, it should be addressed on the website to avoid such embarrassing situations. I will not donate to the Red Cross again after this experience and request to be removed from any mailing lists. -B.F. from Columbia, SC [redacted]

I recently tried to get food but was surprised to be told abruptly that only one plate per person was allowed, despite being able to get up to 6 plates before. Additionally, I had an unpleasant experience at the American Red Cross desk when they required us to wear wristbands instead of allowing us to keep them securely. The staff member's attitude was not friendly, and it seems like new rules are being enforced daily, which is causing frustration. Furthermore, a representative from the American Red Cross questioned my wife about our financial assistance from FEMA, which felt intrusive.

I have had no response from the Red Cross. The phone number provided directs us to leave our name and contact details for a call back within 24 hours, which has passed with no communication. Our hotel is not renewing the Red Cross contract, and we are facing homelessness since my home burned down. We urgently require lodging for an additional two weeks, but no one has reached out to assist us despite assurances. I have visited the local community center where they mentioned that the Red Cross would reach out, but to no avail. Every day I attempt to contact them through calls and texts, but no one returns our attempts. At 77 years old, I am desperate and facing the possibility of being on the street by Saturday. Please, if someone could offer us assistance, it would be greatly appreciated. The provided number to call is [redacted], but navigating through different numbers has been unhelpful. Your prompt help would be a lifesaver for us.

Hello, I am going through a difficult situation. Currently living in Turkey, I am facing mistreatment from people who seem to enjoy harassing me. My basic human rights have been violated, and my everyday life has turned hostile. I find myself being targeted in a cruel game. Individuals here make references to tragic events like Birkenau or the Holocaust without remorse, often insulting and even physically attacking me. They belittle my roots by claiming I am not worthy because I did not grow up in Russia as they did. Despite being of Russian and Tatar descent and having lived in Poland and Norway, I am now being blocked from finding work in Turkey and feel trapped. In public spaces like parks or beaches, I am confronted and intimidated until I leave. This mistreatment is relentless, regardless of where I go. I feel constantly excluded and mistreated, akin to a scene from a movie where a character is bullied. I am desperate for assistance and support.

Hello, I have an important announcement to make regarding my current situation. I have been living in Turkey for two years now, and the treatment I receive from the people here is very distressing. They belittle me and make it difficult for me to go back to Italy, Spain, or Scandinavia where my sister resides. Despite my efforts to find work, they intentionally deny me opportunities, leaving me feeling isolated and helpless. The constant mistreatment and lack of support have made me feel like an outcast in this community. I am seeking assistance and guidance on how to improve my situation and find a way out of this challenging environment.

I am currently in Turkey and facing a difficult situation. I feel mistreated by some individuals who seem to derive pleasure from making me feel uncomfortable. Their behavior reminds me of the bad characters in a vampire film like Buffy, where they thrive on tormenting others. I'm being denied work opportunities and it seems they are trying to control my life because I am not from Russia. They even went as far as questioning my right to have children. This mistreatment feels like a violation of my human rights, and it seems like a coordinated effort between Russian and Turkish individuals.
