Good Morning,*I am sending this email to try to resolve an issue I am having with AHS concerning my HVAC system. My unit is ** years old. AHS has sent two different companies out to work on my unit * times with starting on July **,**** to most recently last visit on november *,****. (*) Greenway put in a capacitor (*-**-**), stopped working call again, (*) Greenway on *-*-** put in a *** hp IPM call back again (*)Greenway on *-**-** adjusted cap stated cap left off of charge port by their repairman, stopped working callback (*) another company sent out *-**-** Air Now state return duct need to be replaced (red flags go up by this time I am not trusting any of these companies work . On **-*-** I turn on my heat to see if it was working and smoke begins to billow out of all my vents on the lower level followed by a toxic smell. I thought was going to have to call the Fire department because my house was going to catch on fire. Fortunately we were able to turn out the unit from the main breaker and it stopped. American Home Shield called again for this same unit which i am still having problems with and send Air Now again on **-*-**. They stated I needed an inducer motor and thermostat. I got online to check out the companies they were sending out to work on my unit because after * call backs I keep getting different diagnosis of the problem and parts replaced with no results. The last technician with Air Now stated verbally to me that the motor put in the unit by Greenway was not designed for my unit which is ** years therefore it would not shut off which could have been a cause for the near fire. After all of this inadequate workmanship and repair AHS is not going to give me replacement cost and will allow a company (Air Now of Nashville ) upon my research online has all negative reviews the lowest you can give on a rating which was *. Some customers stated they only rated them as * because that was the lowest they could rate. I have had AHS since **** and I am very disappointed with the service I have had with my HVAC unit.. It has never been fixed after * call backs and several replacement parts. I DONOT want a fire at my resident due to irresponsibility of your company American Home Shield to hire reputable contractors. I would appreciate a follow up on this matter and to hear a respond from someone in the corporate office concerning this matter. I can provide in paper work and phone call back information you may need. I kept all my documentation.
