Help with my American Home Shield issue
What went wrong?
Waiting to see what went wrong with our suggestion for how to get American Home Shield help.
The issue in GetHuman-rdayton's own words
This is what your page states will occur during an AC service call: ***Q: What should an AHS customer expect during an A*C service call? First, the technician will start by asking the homeowner what is happening with the system. Then, he or she will typically go to the thermostat. After that, the technician will go to the furnace*air handler and check the filter, blower wheel, drain lines, electrical and basic indoor operation. From there, the technician will go to the outdoor unit and check system operation and refrigerant levels. The homeowner should expect a diagnosis and specific remedy for the current issue. He or she can also expect the technician to talk them through the basic functions of the system. To keep the customer “in the know,” the technician will probably make a recommendation to replace any components that are likely to fail in the near future."*** That's not what happens!!! AHS told me AFTER an unsatisfactory service call that I have to schedule a separate service call for diagnosis, ductwork, AC mechanical problems, thermostat and electrical problems. If it is needed there is also an additional service call to make an opening if needed, and then ANOTHER service call for returning the access opening to a rough condition. Each of these service calls will cost me seventy five dollars and take one hundred and ninety five dollars off of my fifteen hundred dollar annual cap for HVAC services. Who in their right mind would agree to this? It only costs me one hundred and fifteen dollars and seventy cents to have the local HVAC do ALL of these in one visit (with the exception of creating an access hole and closing it up). I WANT A REFUND AND CANCELLATION OF THIS CONTRACT!!!!
GetHuman-rdayton did not yet indicate what American Home Shield should do to make this right.
