The issue in GetHuman-annmfarr's own words
I received a statement from American Express in ***** which I paid but it was credited to the wrong account. I received another statement in***** with a penalty attached. I contacted AMEX and they agreed to waive the penalty so I paid what I thought was the balance of $**.** and the receipt number was w****. I received another statement with an additional penalty and when I contacted AMEX, I was told that my payment was .** cents short but that the minimum payment would be $*.** which I paid on ********. I then received another statement dated ********. I called again, on ***** and spoke to Jessica whose supervisor was Matt who turned it over to Della who gave me her employee number ****** and assured me the situation was taken care of. I received another statement dated ********. I called again, customer service, and spoke to Sarah who assured me that she zeroed out everything and the * major credit reporting agencies would be notified. I then received a notice that my account had been turned over to a collection agency. I called again and was finally able to speak to a supervisor at *:** A.M, on *****, yesterday. I was out on hold for a considerable period and then was told that it would take longer than he anticipated so he would call me back later in the day. I was really, really upset by this time and failed to get his name.* It is presently more than ** hours later and I have heard nothing. I am seriously considering contacting my attorney or at the very, least posting this whole litany on Facebook.**The account number in question is **** ****** *****
