Verify non-receipt of refund from american airlines. ... Trying this again. American Airlines needs to certify it has NOT REFUNDED AIRLINE TICKET MONEY TO ME in order for the insurer for our trip to Barcelona in mid-October, ****, had to be canceled due to a medical emergency. The circumstances of that emergency have been provided to the insurer which has not denied the claim* but it needs confirmation from AA regarding any refund of the tickets having been done. There are two e-mails from AA indicating a refund was issued* but that refund did not appear in the credit card record for the card used to pay for the tickets. Need to speak to an AA representative now not later!
The insurer has told me, the claim was recognized* however, American Airlines have told the insurer, they refunded the tickets. THAT HAS NOT OCCURRED.

New customer* expected AA to recognize the validity of the reason(s) for cancellation of the trip.
Am considering a complaint to the FAA and to my Congressional representatives.
