On June * **** My husband, myself and a friend were traveling from Miami international to Palm Springs international with a change of planes inPhoenix. AA flight *** from Miami to Phoenix ( which was delayed about **-** minutes) causing us to miss our connection Flight **** into Palm Springs.* There were no seats available for the final flight into PS at *:**. *These were cash, First Class tickets, (no miles).*My husband is ** years old and my friend (in a wheelchair) is ** years. The temperature is *** outside, we are ** hours to drive through the desert at night.*From the time we got off the cruise ship in Miami at *:**Am, waiting for the Miami to PS flight we were clocking *** hours travel time by the time we were stuck in Phoenix*We made the decision to go to Southwest and buy * tickets that would take us to Ontario, California and then Uber to Palm Desert.*We three were frustrated, tired and angry that there was zero attempt to shuffle us off the Miami flight hold the Palm Springs plane for the *-** minutes so we could board.. There were * other seniors passengers that missed that flight.*Knowing that the PS plane was simply going to PS, turning around and making its final flight at *:** back to PS.*We seven passengers watched as it taxied from the gate!*Great customer service I might add.!!*The four agents a the gate said "sorry, we couldn't do anything" We'll give you a voucher to stay over. That was not an option for the ** year old.!*I would like to add that I asked the attendant in First Class on the Miami flight AA *** about the tight connection we had and she said ( looking up from her cell phone) "they are tracking this flight and know your delayed") Back to her cell phone. Yikes!*I expect to be reimbursed for the cost of the three tickets @ ***.** each Total of $***.** ( Have the receipts) The uber @ $***.** and food at the airport while we tried to figure out what to do.$**.**.*All this aggravation could have so simply been avoided by holding that flight for ** extra minutes.* This impacted actually seven passengers, all seniors!*The First Class tickets for this trip were NOT cheap!*I look forward to your response.*Barbara Conly ***-***-*****Please advise me how to sent receipts.
