This afternoon I called AA to change only *one leg* of my AA flight. Original flight: June * **** SFO to Mia. Return Mia- SFO Jun **. This was vacation. Last minute, my work wanted me in Baltimore on the **th so I booked a flight from FL to Balt for June **th on *another airline**** During my phone call to AA this afternoon, all I wanted was for AA to *change my original Return from Miami flight*** and make it a *return from Baltimore flight .. on June **, ****. The agent indicated all was well and I hung up (change fees etc paid during this time). I then get an email saying my flight *from SFO to MIA was cancelled!!* I paid for this flight (vacation in March)- cost @ $***! When I called AA to rectify THEIR Mistake - onAA part- they indicated there was nothing they could do- now the flight from SFO to MIA was full- and I’d have to *** buy another ticket on a later flight costing over $*** - *** -only *st class available (this new flight is a connecting flight where my original*planned flight was direct). I also will also be getting in much later now to Mia - This is hugely upsetting my plans! I asked AA to book me on the same (original) flight and kick someone else off (overbook then ask for volunteers) so I could get on my original SFO-MIA direct since this was AA fault! The agent would not do that. She said I’d have to buy ** a NEW ticket (now *st class at @$***) to get to Mia.. for my vacation!!!! Unacceptable!!!! I purchased it as AA gave me no choice to get to MIA as planned for vacation. I also spoke with a supervisor when I arrived at airport. She also indicated there was nothing she could do. *This is completely unacceptable)! As you listen to recording of conversation of what I originally wanted to do- ***(just change the return leg of my trip to leave from Balt on the **th) you’ll understand that I *clearly stated: leave my original leg :SFO- MIA the same- Don’t Change That Leg!!! This is clearly AA mistake. It has hindered my plans and upset my schedule.. I also had to pay for a ticket I never wanted..another ***! I should Not have been made to buy this NEW ticket!! I work with many people who travel constantly — spend millions of dollars per year with AA. If this does not get quickly rectified- I should be reimbursed - I will tell my company that AA is no longer reliable*or responsible to accept and rectify their mistake!
