Amazon wanted a code from my l*ast three credit card purchases or a description of the last three items I bought. I remebered one item. I have all their order confirmation emails but they stopped describing what was purchased in May ****. The guy told me because they were getting complaints of identity theft. My credit card transactions from my credit union did not have the nine digit code they wanted. So my account is locked up and they won't unlock it. I cancelled my Prime membership and won't*can't be buying from Amazon anymore. Their security system is flawed when they cancel a member's account that has been a loyal customer for over ten years.

Unlock my account of *** years that Amazon falsely locked due to bugs in their new security system. ... Amazon falsely detected I was attempting to sign in from Texas, rather than my IP in Lancaster, CA. They sent me an email about this with a link to block the intruder. I did that and it locked me out of my account. Now their password reset function has denied me further access to my account. Their security system needs to be overhauled if they wish to retain customers. **Their one time passwords don't work and I am unable to contact them via email to report these errors made by their system.
When I spoke to an agent he had a heavy accent and communication was difficult. I was treated like I was a criminal. He asked for codes from my credit card transactions. I gave him the codes. He said they had to * character codes and I gave him * character codes because that is all my credit card transactions showed.
They need to own up to a flawed security system, fix it so as not to continue to lose customers, and reinstate my account so I can access it again.
I have spent in excess of $*K with Amazon in the last ** months. I've been a customer since the ****'s.
I've tried using their password reset function *-* times. They send a one time passcode to be entered into the password field during login. But their flawed security system rejected each and every attempt. When I called they treated me like a criminal and asked obscure questions about details of my transactions.
