I am extremely upset. I was trying to change my password and I got ensnared in the two-step verification process. When I called your Customer Service group, I was asked to answer some very obscure questions that included dates and transactions from years ago. Since I couldn't answer them (What was the MONTH and YEAR you signed up for Amazon Prime? Are you KIDDING ME??), both reps told me they couldn't unlock me until I could answer these questions. I have been an Amazon member and dedicated shopper for YEARS, but all I got was stonewalling, and the knowledge that I could stay locked out for an undetermined length of time. This is insulting, rude, and quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever received. All I want to do is get a new password and get back into Amazon (from which, incidentally, I do all my shopping). Is anyone out there that can actually help me? I was told to keep calling, to get a different service agent each time who hopefully would have different "random" questions. Anyone???
