FROM:*Gary E. Miller, *****@***.com*On December **, Amazon locked me out of the account that I have had with them for many years. I have made numerous phone calls to Amazon Customer Support about this issue and have had no success restoring my account. At one point I engaged a professional computer technician (Mike Reese, owner of Entinel Computer Repair, Selah, WA (Phone ***-***-****) to help me. He contacted Amazon and told them the lock-out problem was at their end and was not a computer hacking or some other problem at my end. He said he tried unsuccessfully to access my account. He used multiple computers that were not tied to my home system.*My last call to Amazon about this issue was on January * when I talked with Amazon’s Aina S at **:** am. She assured me the lock-out problem would be resolved and I would hear from Amazon within two business days on what I needed to do. *On Saturday, January *, I received an email from Amazon. This email stated. “Per your request we have successfully changed your password”. This email makes no sense. MY REQUEST WAS TO UNLOCK MY ACCOUNT. WHY WOULD AMAZON CHANGE MY PASSWORD? I would change my own password after Amazon unlocked my account. Anyway, I went to Amazon’s page to sign in and asked to change my password. Amazon sent me an email with a verification number. I applied the number and was told “SUCCESS. Your password has been changed. Try signing in with it here.” I tried and got a message “There was a problem. Your password is incorrect.” I tried again and got the same message.*What just happened this afternoon is exactly the problem I and my professional computer technician have had again and again with Amazon since December **. I keep getting the same form letter that says Amazon has “….successfully changed my password.” This means nothing and is no help. Note that Amazon has sent this same nonsense email to me * times today, the last on at *:** pm. *THE BOTTOM LINE IS I AM STILL LOCKED OUT and I have not received any useful help from Amazon. *IF THIS LOCKOUT PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVED IMMEDIATEDLY, I WILL BE ELEVATING MY PROBLEM TO THE HIGHEST MANAGEMENT LEVELS IN AMAZON. I have been a great customer for Amazon and have spent many thousands of dollars with them. I really hope this can be resolved and I can continue to receive the great service I have, until now, always received from Amazon.
