I tried to chat with Amazon and was told they cannot honor a reward I was supposed to receive. I want to speak with someone else about this because I greatly disagree.*I signed up for Prime last week and got an email about receiving a $** reward if I download the Amazon app and sign in. I followed the steps in the email, downloaded the app, signed in, and saw the $** reward confirmation. However, the reward is missing. It is not applied at checkout and I cannot find it in my account. Amazon chat told me it's because I was an Amazon Prime member in the past, but I don't even know when that was. I recently linked two accounts so maybe that has something to do with it, but regardless, nowhere in the promotion's terms & agreements does it say "for first-time Prime users only". For this reason, and because I received the reward email, followed the steps AND got confirmation, I expect that Amazon will make this right and apply a $** credit to my account. I have items in my cart now that I am waiting to purchase until we sort this out. I don't think it is fair to send a reward email to a customer, have that customer follow the steps to earn the reward, and then not give the award due to terms that aren't even in the promotion's terms and agreements. Please call and make this right.
