My son used his account to place Halloween-related orders. On Tuesday or Wednesday, all was fine and they were due at various times but all by today. Yesterday, we tried to check on the orders, but the only page we get on his signing in states: "Document review. Upload successful. Thank you. What happens next? We will review your statement and email you within ** hours." No one has emailed him. In the meantime through several calls to Amazon, I have learned that his orders (which were almost here) have all been cancelled, although no refunds have been issued. We were also not notified that they had been cancelled. He had plans for this weekend. By the way, he uploaded no documents for review. He is a very smart, sensitive, **-year-old on the autism spectrum, and he is highly upset that he will not have the items he expected to have for something he had planned for this weekend. A representative I spoke with yesterday told me that an account specialist would call me to resolve this problem. No one called. At this point, it is unclear whether my child will be able to have any Halloween at all. I would like real information from an account specialist who can say why the orders were cancelled when they were being delivered this week, why no one let us know, why no one is helping us at the account specialist level and no email was sent to us, and when the orders were cancelled so we can calculate the * to * business days in which I will be refunded. Austistic kids are about two years behind emotionally, so you've basically made a **-year-old disabled child for whom I would do anything extremely upset. Also part of autism is aggression when upset, toward property (mine) and the nearest adult (me). I do not appreciate this debacle and I would like a clear explanation ASAP. It cannot be legal what has happened in this case, and I am a lawyer. My phone number is ***-***-**** in case the account specialists can't find it. I have been an Amazon member since maybe ** years ago and a Prime member as soon as I knew it was available despite the annually increased price. I have bought Amazon-published trash I could have written in junior high from the Kindle Store with no option to return it because it was worthless. Amazon seems to be falling apart, and I am trying to allow my son a good Halloween celebration while his grandmother is ill, having had breast cancer and a stroke since July. I am very, very disappointed with Amazon, and the time it has taken me to communicate to different customer service representatives explaining the whole story all over again.
