My order ****-*******-*******, placed August **, **** for a Dell Inspiron **** **** Desktop computer for $*** arrived at my Fedex outlet August **, ****: Fedex ID ************. Fedex called my home to inform me that the box with my address on it was completely empty. They knew that because the bottom of the box had obviously never even been taped up and the box had no weight to it which would have indicated it contained no computer! I called Amazon customer service on August ** to tell of the problem and got the royal run-around about how this was not Amazon's fault, it was the fault of Fedex. The Fedex people said it wasn't their fault because nothing had been in the box!! After about a half hour on the phone between Amazon customer service and the Fedex people, the Amazon lady said she would credit my account for all the hassle $** credit. Fedex said they would send the empty box back to the seller, I ordered another computer on August ** and it arrived in good shape.**My problem now is that I just received my credit card statement where I have been charged TWICE for this computer!!!!! I want the full refund due me for the first computer ($***), not just what appears on my Amazon account information as a $** credit which had nothing to do with the price of the computer but was a "good will" credit to my account for the time and hassle involved when I was trying to get Amazon customer service to understand what I was talking about. **I have never had a problem before with Amazon and would like very much to continue as a GOOD customer. But this has gone on way too long and I want it resolved ASAP.
GetHuman-daleboot did not yet indicate what Amazon should do to make this right.
