The issue in GetHuman936677's own words
Split the payment due (order on hold for payment problems) between my Amazon Store card and my debit card. ... UPDATE Believe it or not, you CANNOT split a payment using TWO credit cards, or a credit and debit card! I had to use my debit card to buy a (digital) $** Amazon *gift card, that Customer Service was then able to pay with that first and pay the balance due with mycredit card. **I can't believe a major international e-commerce retailer is incapable of something SO simple! I will NOT be purchasing as much as I did before from Amazon because of this (VERY tacky!) AND their refusal to takke action against the massive fraud in their product ratings. ONLY READ THE BAD REVIEWS! They're NOT fake.
This is a RIDICULOUS state of affairs. AND their CSR was SO confusing! I spoke to her supervisor.
Adding the ability to split payments between ANY two payment methods on the payment screen so we could handle this WITHOUT having to contact Customer Service
I've been a customer with them since they opened!!
I did fix it,finally. Thanks!! And good luck to everyone else with this problem. I hope this info helps!!! ***Now, if I could just figure out how to mark this resolved......LOL
I have an issue with Amazon too
How GetHuman936677 fixed the problem
STOP TRYING. You cannot split payments on Amazon usinga credit card AND a debit card. They don't LET you. I bought an Amazon giftcard with my debit card to cover the difference and used THAT to complete payment. STUPID, absolutely. But Amazon doesn't give you a choice.
