I traveled on Flight **** from Fort Lauderdale to Norfolk on July *nd ****. I believe the flight was initial suppose to leave around *:**pm, the flight was delayed and did not start boarding until *pm. We were notified of the initial delay on July *nd at **:**am via text that flight would be delayed until *pm. Then once we were already at the airport we were notified again that the flight was being delayed until at least *:**pm because we were waiting on an inbound flight from Ohio that was delayed. Needless to say we did not start the boarding process until *pm. The boarding processes was EXTREMELY slow, the boarding agent provide NO communication as to why the process was so slow, eventually we came to learn that there was an issue with the seats on the plane and a large majority of the seats were already taken by those that had already boarded (i.e individuals had same seat numbers). When I finally boarded the plane, the seats that I had booked and PAID EXTRA to reserve prior to boarding were now filled with * other individuals. It was total chaos on the plane, we were basically told that at this point in the process they were just trying to find open seats and have individuals sit anywhere there was an open seat. **First, I had paid EXTRA to book a row of seats because i was flying with my infant daughter, who i booked a seat for and my husband. We were UNABLE to all sit together. As you can imagine this was extremely frustrating because i was not able to sit with my family and have the assistance of my husband during the flight. Additionally EVERY seat was filled on the plane. When I originally booked this flight seats were vacant in order to comply with CDC guidelines, this flight did not comply with those guidelines it was COMPLETELY packed because of the seating issue with double booking seats. I originally felt comfortable flying with my infant daughter because the seats were going to be blocked around me but that was not the case when i boarded the plane.**Not only was this flight * hours delayed but I also did not get the seats i booked and paid extra to reserve and was uncomfortable with unblocked seats considering i was traveling with an infant. **I do expect some sort of resolution to this matter. I would like a travel credit or refund for this flight.
