The Host for my booked reservation, has written a statement and left voicemail stating as her cancellation policy with Airbnb for her home in Ft. Myers was flexible cancellation policy. In writing and voicemail, as I was giving her * months notice of my cancellation, she said I would get a full refund for the first month's charge I had paid through Airbnb, there being full refund without fees, charges or penalties. As Host she assured me Airbnb would refund my monies within about ** days. This was in June, ****. As of date, no refund and Airbnb will not refund my monies. If she had not assured me of this total refund, I would not have cancelled in this way. I have her written statements, have spoken with her via phone. **Airbnb is an agent for the Host. I do not fault Airbnb, but the Host has misrepresented Airbnb, so far declines to refund me my monies. What do you suggest I do? As Airbnb and the Host are tied to this, any litigation I pursue will include all parties. **I need to know from you, legally, is Airbnb responsible for not refunding with the Host under a flexible cancellation policy? Is the Host responsible for her statements to me and to Discover Card she accepted full cancellation of my reservation with full refund from Airbnb. **Please generically let me know who actually is responsible for my refund in total. I believe Airbnb is acting according to the Host who may be lying about this being flexible which then distorts the whole picture.
