*-**-*****Thank you for hearing my complaint*On July *nd we approached Belmar NJ and decided to see if we could make an afternoon trip an overnight trip. At *:** in the afternoon we booked with the Belmar Inn. We arrived about ** minutes later and found that no one was in the lobby. A note on the desk read will return at *:**. The note left a number to call, so I called it * or * times with no answer. The lobby looked trashy, there was no help at all and no parking. Three strikes, so we decided to cancel. It was not the excellent product they portrayed in their advertisement. We canceled ** minutes after the reservation was made. Their site reads “FREE Cancellation for ** hours” *We tried multiple times to explain this and they made up stories that said their people must be out helping someone, not true or that their cameras said we never arrived, also not true. As they looked at *:** am not PM. Then they said they would lose money as they did not rent the room. *Point * - We do not know that they couldn’t or didn’t rent the room.*Point * - That has nothing to do with the **-hour cancellation policy they display on their website**The fact is we got zero service or product for our money. We tried to explain this to them but they didn’t care telling us how slow they have been. They just want the money and they did nothing to earn it nor did they suffer any loss for a **-minute reservation that came with a **-hour refund policy. **Earlier this year we rented a villa in Mexico with your company and it was one of our favorite trips. Was looking forward to doing more business with you so I hope we can sort this out.
