Airbnb, *The reason we chose this last villa was because of the owner telling us in the first message to me that we have full access to the pool, sand volleyball court, gym, and canoe access on the lake in the backyard. We showed up, and did not have access to any of those things! I emailed back and forth with Hans (the owner) and he did not own up to his mistake of fake advertisement and said there’s nothing he can really do for us. The whole trip I was stressed and emailing back and forth with him to try to figure out a way to access the promised commodities such as the pool, gym, canoes, etc. I was not trying to deal with something like this on a vacation we paid a lot of money for. Hans came to the house to try to convince me to not report this and offered a bar of Swiss Gold in compensation. I took it, looked at it, did some quick research and found it was only worth $**. I gave it back to him right then and there. He showed us that his whole profit is $*** which I did not care to see and don’t believe either because he was the cleaning crew. He showed up in a handyman outfit with tools and cleaning supplies which means his profit is more so around $***. I calmly explained to him the way I felt and still do, he just kept saying it doesn’t matter cause of how good of a deal we got. Complete false advertisement. I feel it may be fair to come to some amount of reimbursement (whether refund in cash or credit to stay in another place at a future date) for the unpleasant experience we had. The hotel workers said there has been a big allegation against the villas for years and that villa renters*owners have not been able to get access for a long time. We were lied to and I am very upset. Two of the days, the * of us walked down the road to another facility and paid $** each to get into the pool for one day. That is $*** extra to have access to a pool that should have been included in the initial advertisement. Overall it was not a great experience, and I have experienced using Airbnb before so I know the professional standards you hold the rental owners to. We could have stayed at our own house and done the same things we were doing, but decided to give your company business by renting a villa from you. We spent the money and bought the place specifically for the commodities that came with it. Please help!
