Dear Sir, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding the recent flight delay from Baroda to Delhi, which resulted in a missed connection flight for my wife and me. We are both 75 years old and faced significant hardships as a result. Unfortunately, upon reaching the Delhi Air India office, we did not receive any assistance with wheelchair services, food, accommodation, or rebooking for our final destination in Houston, TX, USA. I have made multiple complaints with reference numbers WB-IDEL[redacted]08, WB-IDEL[redacted]03, and WB-IBDQ[redacted]02, yet have not received any response via email or phone. I am seeking assistance to resolve this matter and request compensation for the inconvenience caused. Despite contacting your 24/7 customer helpline numerous times, I have not been able to reach a representative for help. I kindly ask for your prompt attention to this issue and guidance on escalating my complaint to the Indian government and Prime Minister Mr. Modi. Your swift response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Anil Desai

I flew with AirIndia from Kochi to SFO on the 26th. Unfortunately, our luggage did not arrive with us, and despite being told it would be here by the 27th, we have not received any updates. We completed all the necessary forms with the Air India staff at SFO and were given three contact numbers to track our baggage, none of which are working. It has been six days now, and my family is still waiting for our six pieces of check-in luggage. The baggage details are as follows: Flight Numbers: AI047 and AI173 Baggage Numbers: [redacted], -64, -65, -67, -68, -69 We urgently need our luggage as it contains essential items like medication. Please respond to our emails or calls with an update on the status. Your prompt assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Our flight from Rajkot to Bangalore via Mumbai supposed to depart on July 2nd, [redacted], at 5:15 pm as AI656 was delayed to around 7:30 pm from Rajkot. We checked in one maroon-colored hardcase suitcase of Traworld brand, medium-sized, at the baggage drop in Rajkot, destined for Bangalore. Due to the delay, we missed our connecting flight from Mumbai to Bangalore. Air India officials rebooked us on the next available flight departing on July 3rd at 6:15 am and took our luggage check-in tag to locate our bag. Despite waiting from 10 pm to 4:30 am, the officials couldn't locate our bag, and the staff disappeared. A senior person informed us that since our luggage was checked through to Bangalore, it should be delivered there. Now, after 48 hours, the baggage service officials in Bangalore are unresponsive, leaving us unsure about the situation.

I am an Indian citizen currently residing and working in the UK. My family, consisting of my wife, 5-month-old infant, and senior citizen mother, plans to travel from Ahmedabad to London on a direct flight on August 14th. I have been attempting to contact Air India to book tickets and secure a bassinet seat for my son. Despite calling the numbers listed on the website six times, waiting approximately 30 minutes each time, I have been unable to reach customer support. No one has answered the phone, and these calls are also incurring charges. I have not been able to find an escalation process publicly available, so I am bringing this issue to your attention via this email chain. For further information, please contact me at +[redacted]09 or [redacted] Thank you.

Subject: Unhappy with Flybillet Service Dear Customer Service, I am disappointed with the response I received from Flybillet regarding my refund request for a booking to Sri Lanka. Due to safety concerns following a terror threat, I reached out to cancel my trip, with Air India assuring full refunds to customers in this situation. Unfortunately, Flybillet did not process the cancellation, despite multiple emails and calls confirming our decision not to travel based on government advisories. After weeks of waiting, I was recently informed that no refund will be issued. I am confused by this response and seek clarification. Please contact me at 0[redacted]9 or via email to facilitate my refund process. I have also corresponded with Air India at [redacted] on September 8th at 13:17. I anticipate your prompt assistance. Thank you. Sincerely, Jette A. L.

I have a question about luggage allowance with Air India. I will be travelling from Philadelphia, USA to Delhi with Qatar Airways and then from Delhi to Lucknow with Air India. I purchased my ticket in the USA, using mileage to go to Delhi and paying in Dollars for the Delhi to Lucknow leg with Air India. My flight will arrive in Delhi early in the morning and my connecting Air India flight is at 9:30 AM the same day. Qatar Airways allows 2 pieces of 23 kg each for check-in. My Air India ticket (Delhi to Lucknow) also indicates 2 pieces of 23 kg each. I want to ensure that there won't be any issues with luggage allowance on the local Air India flight. Please respond promptly. Thank you.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Flight AI [redacted] on November 12th I want to file a complaint about Flight AI [redacted] on November 12th. We were scheduled to fly from Dubai to Mumbai at 4:00 am but encountered technical issues after takeoff, forcing us to return to Dubai. As a result, we have been stranded for over 18 hours without proper assistance, including my 7-year-old son. The airline offered a hotel, however, there was no staff to guide us there, leading us to get lost twice in the airport. The food provided was too far for some passengers to access, causing some to miss meals. As of now, at 6:00 pm, we still have no information from the airline regarding our journey home, and we do not require their hotel services. We are in urgent need of compensation for this ordeal. We missed my son's dance competition due to the delay, and his health suffered from lack of sleep. The lack of organization and assistance from Air India's ground staff at the airport was unacceptable. I am requesting an additional return ticket from Mumbai to Dubai with a 6-month validity for myself and my son. Please find our details below for reference. Passengers: 1. Master Vyom Thobhani - Boarding No. [redacted] 2. Ms. Charmi Rami - Boarding No. [redacted] For further details, please contact us via phone or email. Regards, Charmi Rami

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing on behalf of Hemendra Shah concerning a recent flight experience involving his wife, Devangi Hemendra Shah. Devangi was scheduled to fly from DTW to AMD on Nov 10th, [redacted], with an Air India booking number JT6NP. Upon arrival at Bombay International Airport, Devangi was informed by the Air India counter staff that there was no seat available for her on Flight No AI [redacted], despite her presenting the itinerary. She remained at the counter for an extended period until the next flight at 5.20 P.M. After returning home, Hemendra checked the booking status online and was surprised to find it marked as a "NO-Show." He strongly disputes this classification. Additionally, he expressed dissatisfaction with the unprofessional behavior exhibited by the officer on duty on Nov 12th at 10 A.M. The officer was described as rude, uncooperative, and accusatory towards Devangi, despite her presence with luggage at the airport all night. Hemendra is requesting a thorough investigation into this matter to identify the responsible party for the error that inconvenienced his wife and caused her significant stress and uncertainty during an 11-hour delay at Bombay Airport. He seeks a fair resolution and assurance that such incidents will not reoccur in the future. Looking forward to your prompt and equitable response. Yours sincerely, Hemendra Shah

We've reserved tickets to Frankfurt from Chennai with a layover in Mumbai. The departure terminal from Chennai is Terminal 1, a domestic terminal. I have a few queries: 1. Will our luggage be checked directly to Frankfurt from Chennai? 2. Will immigration be done in Chennai or Mumbai? 3. Is there airport assistance or guidance available in Mumbai during the layover? 4. We are headed to Stuttgart next. Is it feasible to book train tickets for both the outbound and return journeys in conjunction with our flights?

Hello, I made a ticket booking on December 8th from Toronto to Amritsar with reference number ZC7BG. Unfortunately, I needed to cancel this trip due to some reasons. The travel agent charged me 1.26k for the ticket. Upon canceling, I requested a refund, but he is only offering 85k, stating it's the policy to charge this amount as a penalty for cancellation. This seems like a large sum, nearly 40% of the total cost. I just want to verify if this is accurate or not, as I am concerned about potential fraud and the impact on your business. Thank you.

Hello, I have a flight from Rajkot to Frankfurt via Delhi on the 28th of December. Typically, my luggage is transferred directly in Delhi airport during the transit. However, on this occasion, I need to access my luggage to remove 3-4 items from it. I would like to know if it's possible to request my luggage at the belt in the Domestic terminal and then proceed to check in normally at the International terminal. If this is feasible, I plan to make this request once I arrive at Rajkot airport. Thank you for your assistance. Best regards, Devang

I booked two Business Class tickets from Madrid to Delhi on February 17, [redacted]. Since booking, our nationality switched from UK to Spanish, leading to changes in our passports and surnames, particularly my wife's. I've tried unsuccessfully for two months to have Air India update our information. I worry we may face issues at the airport due to this discrepancy. Can you assist me with this matter? Thank you, Richard A.

Dear Forum Members, I want to share my recent experience with a travel agent regarding a flight booking to New York. Initially, the agent asked for an advance payment of Rs 40,[redacted] and then requested the remaining balance of Rs 23,[redacted] before issuing the ticket. After transferring the funds to the agent's SBI bank account, he claimed that he did not receive the money and pressured me into sending the balance amount again. I complied and used Paytm for the second transfer. Upon verifying with SBI, I discovered that the agent had indeed received the balance amount during my initial transaction. It became evident that he deceived me by pressuring me to send more money unnecessarily. Unfortunately, the situation worsened as the agent later canceled the ticket in an attempt to extort more money, jeopardizing my son's crucial trip to the US. I believe it is essential to alert others of such fraudulent practices to prevent others from falling victim. I took precautions by informing the airline about the agent's actions and requested not to cancel the ticket without my consent. I have officially lodged a complaint against the agent, Mr. Banish Mohammad, for his dishonest behavior. I urge the relevant authorities to investigate this matter thoroughly. For transparency, I request that the booking amount for my flight to New York on Air India Flight AI101 not be refunded. The confirmation number for the ticket is H15JF, e-ticket number [redacted][redacted]. Thank you, Dr. Ajay Gupta

Hello, I have booked my parents' tickets from Hyderabad to Chicago O'Hare on March 9th with a return on August 24th. When booking, my father's name was shortened, and my mother's full name, "Veera Venkata Nata Rajya Lakshmi Chinamutevi," was too long for the name field, so I used "V V N Rajya Lakshmi Chinamuttevi" instead. Due to the upcoming travel date, I need urgent assistance regarding the following: 1. Will this name discrepancy cause issues during check-in or boarding? 2. If so, is it possible to change "V V N" to the full name? 3. If not, what are the next steps? 4. Should I cancel my mother's ticket and rebook? I appreciate any help or advice on resolving this matter promptly. Thank you, Gowri Shankar Chinamuttevi
