Hello everyone, I have now encountered a recurring issue, what is happening on your end??? I just booked a hotel: [redacted] Suddenly I receive the following email: Hello Mr. AK, Due to an unforeseen technical error, your booking was not confirmed. Any payments made and amounts withheld on your card will be refunded free of charge. If we need further information, you will receive a separate email regarding this. Please note, some banks may take up to 30 days or until the next billing cycle to release a withheld amount on your card. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this very rare error and would be happy to continue supporting you with the guaranteed lowest prices on your future travels. The amount has actually been deducted twice now, unbelievable what is happening! How will you resolve this issue? Hello everyone, This can't be true, now it's the second case in a row! I made a hotel reservation and fully paid using my credit card through Agoda. The night before my trip, Agoda unexpectedly canceled my booking, implying that I requested it. Despite my email complaint, Agoda avoided the issue and provided a different contact method. Although my credit card was charged, I have not received a refund yet. Having to pay double at the accommodation was distressing. I now demand compensation from Agoda for their unprofessional behavior. I used credit card ending in [redacted] on April 4, [redacted]. I booked four double rooms at Econolodge in Clive, Des Moines, Iowa, for March 29th. My credit card was charged approximately $[redacted].16. Upon returning from a Women's Conference, one of the rooms reported bed bugs. They were moved to three other rooms with issues including no heat, ants in the bathroom, and an unmade bed with wet towels and pee stains. The staff promised a refund for the first room, but it hasn't been processed yet. After contacting the hotel again, I was told to reach out to you for a resolution. I have been trying to get in touch without success. Please advise me on how to proceed to receive a refund promptly.

I made a reservation for four rooms at your Econoline Hotel in Clive Des Moines for Friday, March 29th. Each room was booked for double occupancy with two queen beds. Upon arrival, we encountered various issues with the rooms including bed bugs, lack of heat, ants, and uncleared mess from the previous guests. After being moved to several rooms, we were still unable to find a suitable one. The next day, when I requested a refund for the problematic room, I was advised to contact Agoda as they had processed the payment. Despite my efforts to resolve the matter per their instructions, it remains unresolved. A notice on GetHuman Tech Support falsely states that the issue has been resolved, when in fact, it has not been addressed at all. I am seeking a refund for all four rooms totaling $[redacted] due to the inconveniences we faced during our stay. I hope for a proper resolution to this matter rather than it being disregarded.

I have always been a fan of Agoda's services, but unfortunately, I am facing some issues with my current reservation at Days Hotel in Hong Kong from April 8th to April 14th, [redacted]. Hello, I would like to address a concern regarding my recent booking at Katanoi Resort in Phuket. My booking ID is [redacted]04 under the name Christo Fernando. I had reserved a double room from April 12th to 23rd, [redacted]. Upon checking my bank statement, I noticed that I was charged USD [redacted].47 instead of the agreed price of USD [redacted].99, resulting in an overcharge of USD 52.48. I have already reached out to the hotel with the following message: 1. I will be arriving on April 12th as scheduled. 2. I am inquiring about the increased price of USD [redacted].47 instead of our agreed amount of USD [redacted].99, with a difference of USD 52.48. 3. I observed that payment was deducted from my card in advance, although I thought the policy was to settle payment upon arrival in cash. I kindly request a refund of the excess amount upon my arrival. I stayed at Hotel Grand Puteri Kuala Terengganu from March 31, [redacted] to April 2, [redacted] for a seminar. I used my credit card to make the reservation with reservation number [redacted][redacted]. However, I have not received my receipt via email yet. I need the receipt for reimbursement from my department. The booking was made for two people, myself and my friend, Pn Siti Aisah Bt Ab. Ghani. Booking Number [redacted] for Avanti Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. I reserved 7 nights, but upon arrival, the hotel and room did not match their advertisement. After being shown 2 wrong rooms, we were finally given a small, musty room lacking proper seating and far different from the photos online. Disappointed, we left and I tried contacting Agoda's customer service through 4 emails but received no response. Throughout our trip, other services in Vietnam were excellent, unlike this hotel experience. As a frequent Agoda user, this was my first unsatisfactory booking. Now back home, we seek a refund for a room we never used. Thank you.

I found it inconvenient when my saved credit card was charged immediately in the Agoda mobile app while browsing hotels for my upcoming trip. My initial intention was only to check the room rate, so it surprised me that there was no chance to review or confirm the booking before payment. The card was charged, and a room was booked without my explicit consent. I promptly contacted Agoda to cancel the booking, explaining the situation right after it was made. I made it clear that it was a mistake caused by the mobile app, and I requested cancellation by contacting the hotel directly. I understand the process, being in a customer-facing role at a hotel. I believe Agoda can cancel the booking and deal with any necessary refunds or chargebacks since they have not forwarded the payment to the hotel yet. It is frustrating that they expect me to just accept the charge without considering the circumstances. I provided suggestions on how to resolve the issue during our phone call. Due to this inconvenience, I will dispute any charges billed to my card and not use Agoda for bookings in the future. The situation highlights the flaw in the mobile app design and the automatic charging process.

Dear Agoda Team, I called immediately after booking (Booking number [redacted]31) to report an error with the dates. I did not intend to book from April 12th to 15th this year but rather three months later in July from 13th to 15th. The system accidentally switched from July to April in the date display, and I didn't notice it. I have not received a response from you yet regarding the possibility of changing this booking to the dates we desire. It would be greatly appreciated if you could assist us with this matter. When I tried to contact the accommodation directly, they referred me back to you, indicating that only you could help me. I kindly request your assistance in resolving our issue, as it involves a significant amount of money that we would unfortunately have to pay twice otherwise. Hello, I'm Ann. I booked a hotel through Agoda and received a confirmation from them. I'm unsure if I need a separate booking confirmation from the hotel. Also, I have a query regarding airport transfer. There is a fixed free waiting time mentioned during booking, but what happens if my flight is delayed by 2 or 3 hours? Will my trip be canceled, and what about the payment? How does the system handle flight delays? I am worried as this is my solo travel. Agoda assured that the price included a 10% service charge, a 10% tax, and a 2.5% accommodation tax. However, my credit card was charged $11,[redacted].15 on April 15, [redacted]. I would appreciate a prompt response to rectify this error. This is not the first time Agoda has overcharged me. During my Taiwan trip, they charged me double, and their response was delayed. Regarding booking ID [redacted]57, I was not informed about the change in my hotel reservation from OYO [redacted] Hotel Manzil to OYO [redacted] Hotel Metro Star in advance. Dear Agoda, I made a reservation for a Three Bedroom Garden Villa at Sunset Sanato Resort and Spa in Phu Quoc Island through your app today. I used my CIMB Bank online banking for payment. After a successful deduction, the app informed me that there were no available rooms on that date. I tried selecting another room, only to realize I needed to make a payment again. I did not receive a booking number or ID as I booked as a guest without signing into an account in your app. The deduction has been made, but I have not received any confirmation from Agoda or the resort. I made a reservation for the Glebe Apartment in Queenstown on April 8th. The booking cost SGD1062 or NZD1165. However, my credit card was charged SGD1162 on April 14th, supposedly due to a USD783.84 conversion, which I find confusing. When I booked on Agoda, I only saw prices in NZD and SGD, not USD. I chose Agoda for the best rate, but now I'm paying more than what was initially agreed upon. Agoda suggested canceling or paying the higher amount, failing to offer a satisfactory solution. The lack of assistance from Rennete's supervisor, Joseph, added to the frustration. Despite canceling and rebooking, the final cost was still higher than the initial booking. Agoda's subsequent lower offer for Glebe highlights the unfair treatment in my situation. After weeks of searching, I was forced to settle for another hotel due to Agoda's inadequate response. I simply seek fairness in resolving this discrepancy with Agoda.
