Dear Management**This is Sharon Gabie. The booking that was made on number ********* was made making a huge mistake in entering the wrong month I wished to stay at the institution, Kimbo Lodge Backpackers. I meant to make the booking for ** February to ** February **** and not, please note not ** February to ** March ****. This was made in error.**When I noticed this mistake I tried getting in touch with Agoda had no luck and subsequently emailed the institution Kimbo Lodge Backpackers. Since the ** January, I have been in contact with Kimbo Lodge Backpackers to notify them of this error. I also contacted my bank to reverse the funds and explained to them what happened.**Here are the times of the transaction. It was less than ** minutes that I realized my mistake after receiving the confirmation email from Agoda and I sought assistance in all directions with no positive outcome. This is what transpired,* *On the ** January, at around **:** pm, I made the booking and received an email at **:** pm from Agoda that the amount of R****.** was charged to my account. I immediately tried to rectify this error by first trying to contact Agoda, then I send an email to Kimbo Lodge Backpackers notifying them of the error that was made and tried to change the date to the correct days which is * days and not ** days. At **:** pm I spoke to a call center agent at Standard Bank and also explained to them what happened. **A total time of ** minutes passed since I tried to correct the mistake. Also since this incident, I've been in touch with an employee at Kimbo Lodge Backpackers. I thoroughly explained what happened on the email I sent to Kimbo Lodge Backpackers and asked for a direct email address to Agoda since the internet was unsuccessful to sort the matter. I got an email back but not with the direct email address but ***@xxxxxx. I have been emailing back and forth to Kimbo Lodge Backpackers to sort this matter since they host the clients. I also asked the employee to show all my correspondence to his superior or manager in charge of the institution to assist me in sorting the mistake I made. I did all this using the email of the institution that was provided on the form. After the unsuccessful attempt to rectify this error myself, experiencing trouble with the internet my best thinking at the time was to notify the establishment, Kimbo Lodge Backpackers of the error.**Entering the wrong month was a mistake on my part which I tried to correct. Being penalized, so heavily, at the cost of R****.** for an honest mistake and trying to rectify the matter in less than ** minutes is a matter all on its own. I am a student at Rhodes University and my sole reason for looking for accommodation in Cape Town was to go to the embassy where I have an appointment on Monday, ** February.**After all the correspondence with the institution, Kimbo Lodge Backpackers, which was followed by a subsequent cancellation of the booking.**Kindly, look into this as a matter of urgency. If I did not make a mistake of entering the wrong month, the charges whether I cancelled or pitched up at the institution would've been less than R***.** not exceeding R****.**. **Regards,**Sharon Gabie
