We booked * single rooms at the Islington Inn in London from September ** - **, **** (booking no. *********). We arrived at noon and could not see the rooms yet. So, we left our luggage at the Inn and discovered London and came back in the evening at about *:** pm to check in. When we finally entered our rooms, we were not only disappointed, we were disgusted what room they offered us in a * stars hotel which according to agoda hat a rating from *.* from * (very good). Not only that the fotos did not have anything in common with what we actually found. This is not a hotel, even a youth hostel has more Quality and is cleaner and more friendly. Our rooms had a terrible odour as if never fresh air had come into the room, they were dark and so small that you merely could turn around, the walls were dirty, you wouldn't dare to put a foot on the carpet or in the shower, door was not a door, you could not feel save behind. We could not stay there. Even if we could not know if we would find another hotel room in the night, at this moment of shock we would rather have slept on the streets instead to stay there. The man behind the desk was indifferent as if he did not care at all. (The man behind the desk we found earlier at noon also did not give the impression that he would be glad to see us.) Seeing us with the bags in our Hands before the reception desk, he did't give us the Feeling that he was surprised. "You want to leave? Leave. I can't make you stay. But don't expect any money back. You booked with agoda, you have to deal with them." Then he told something like "yes the double rooms are much nicer, but unfortunately you booked a single room". I would like to add that we did not book the Budget single room, but the larger single room! We had the feeling that with all the frustration (until this hour we had been on our feet for ** hours already) he even seemed to make fun of us. We had to find another hotel, but this was an exhausting journey. At the end, paying for a long taxi ride through the city of London and with a stop at * hotels, we found rooms for us which with this short term booking in a tourist crowded London became very expensive for us. We had no budget left for our forthcoming * days in London, because we had to pay the hotel rooms twice and were forced to book and pay a hotel which was not planned in our budget. We claim our money back which we paid for the Islington Inn. Furthermore I have the feeling that the customer reviews are faked. I also did a review but it does not appear anywhere. Can you please help us?
