Agoda's call center is closed now. We will send GetHuman1058142 a reminder to call them when they open. Nothing to do for now but wait!
The issue in GetHuman1058142's own words
Booking ID*: AGODA Booking **********Booking for two rooms at Hotel Boss in Singapore from August ** to August ***We arrived at Hotel Boss after *pm on August **. We had a copy of our confirmation, but the Hotel had not received any confirmation information from Agoda. We tried to call Agoda from the reception desk and waited for more than ** minutes on the phone. While waiting on the phone, we asked the Assistant manager if they did still have rooms available to fill our booking. They said they were fully booked, but had a few spare rooms available for this type of situation. As the reservation had not gone through and the hotel was booked, we decided, after being on hold for more than ** minutes without any information on wait time, to book the rooms directly through Hotel Boss in order to secure lodging before it was unavailable. ***The assistant manager sent a note to their booking department, which included the Agoda booking ID and Lead Guest Name, informing them of the situation and requesting they inform Agoda of the situation if the booking came through.*We paid $*,*** SGD directly to Hotel Boss for the two rooms, which is approximately $*,***.** USD. After returning from the trip and viewing our credit card charges, we noticed that Agoda charged us $***.** USD as well. *Based upon Agoda's failure to provide the rooms and failure to answer our call in a timely manner, we expect to be compensated for the full cost we paid directly to the hotel of $*,***.** USD.*We are glad to provide hotel receipts for the two rooms. If we do not hear back promptly we will contact our credit card to contest the charge. But we will still expect to be compensated the difference between the original cost as confirmed in the Agoda booking and the cost we had to pay Hotel Boss to receive lodging.*I trust that Agoda will make this right and come up with a resolution that is fair.
