I am writing about a booking I made in May ****. I made a booking on the **th May **** for a room at the Portland Hotel on the **th of August, which is today. I paid for the room online and had thought that the room was booked. On the **th of August (yesterday), I checked my Agoda account for details but no saved bookings were listed in my account. Anxious, I booked the room at Portland Hotel once again to make sure that my friend and I had a room to stay the next night. I paid online once again. Now, I am at Portland Hotel and I was told by reception that I had made two bookings - one in May and one in August. I believe that there must be some technical mistake in the booking process as there was neither a confirmation e-mail nor any message about unsuccessful booking about the reservation I made in May. Having seen that there were no saved bookings in my account yesterday, I had no choice but to book again to make sure I had shelter. I think that it is only sensible that the booking I made in May is not charged and I hope that no similar incidents would occur in the future. I look forward to your prompt reply.
