Dear Agoda***I am writing to relay my recent experience upon using your booking site.***Having booked and paid for a * night stay at the Emerald Hotel and Service apartments in Mumbai i arrived to check in **st June for my * night stay.***The manager of the hotel took me to his office and explained that due to someone smoking in the non - smoking room i had booked, they were not able to offer me a room for the night.***He said he had arranged for me to stay elsewhere for the night or maybe the whole stay he was unsure.**I asked if this new hotel had fitness centre,* as this was the reason for me booking and paying in advance for the Emerald Hotel.***He assured me it did and that their facilities were in fact superior.***After* a lot of confusion eventually i was taken to this new hotel and one the staff from the previous hotel booked me in.**I then went to look for the gym facilities. These were apparently situated on the top floor.***When i arrived i found the stairs were* cluttered with various gym equipment and the area itself was a building site. There were clesrly no fitness facilities to use.***( although the manager of the hotel still wanted to call it a gym !) - Maybe there will be in a few months time, when the building work is completed !***I decided to leave for the following reasons.****.This wasnt the hotel i had booked and paid for.***. There was no promised gym facilities.****.Nobody could tell me if i was expected to stay for one night, two nights or three !***. I was getting no answers from anyone.***Having limited time to enjoy mumbai i decided that it best to arrange another hotel immediately. ( i used your site - Vits hotel ).***Im a good customer of Agoda and usually receive a good service, i also book friends hotels using your site and wish this to continue.***I wish to reimbursed and compensated for the fiasco which greeted me when arrived in Mumbai.****Only by paying for an alternative hotel at extra expense was i able to mitigate the breach of contract and wholly unacceptable circumstances.****I await your response soon***Yours faithfully****Mr T Rann*****Sent from Samsung Mobile on O*
