I booked a reservation with Agoda the evening of Sa****ay, April **, **** for a ** nights stay at Hotel Skypark Myeongdong II, Seoul, South Korea. Our check in date is * May **** and check out the **th of May ****. I went through the whole process on Agoda's online reservations site which consists of * steps (customer information & payment information) and a final booking is confirmed step that was completed. It also stated that they will send of a statement confirming my booking via email addressed to *****@***.com. I checked and waited for the confirmation to come to my email. I also registered for an Agoda booking account so that I could manage my bookings. It shows that they have no record of my booking* therefore I went in again and book the same reservations for the same stay at Hotel Skypark Myeongdong II for * rooms for ** adults, for ** nights stay. But this time I made copies of the screen that shows that the booking was confirmed* but they did not give me an Agoda booking ID *. I checked to see if my credit card had any charges or withholdings but no record of it yet. I called Skypark Hotel and they don't have a record of my booking also* they stated that I needed to call Agoda booking office. I called Agoda booking office and I got to waste a lot of time away from my job talking to a machine which I end up waiting for minutes on end only to hang up and start again. This service is truly unsatisfactory especially when our team boards a plane in a couple of days. We went with booking.com earlier and was great but found out the booking was with a hostel which had rooms too small to lodge * persons per room and paying a good amount of money for it. Agoda had the best deal that I couldn't p*** up and made duplicate reservations in order to lodging that will comfortably meet our expectations and providing good service to our team members. Its heartwrenching to know that I have * confirmed bookings but no confirmation letter or statement which shows an Agoda booking ID * which would allow me to look at and manage my bookings that showed it confirmed.
I trust that Agoda will make this right and come up with a resolution that is fair.
