I was on the * pm Aer Lingus flight (numberE*****) from Dublin to Heathrow yesterday ** th October and left my purse*wallet behind in my seat (*f). I realised almost immediately after coming through customs and phoned up the baggage helpline in the arrivals hall and spoke to a person(in Heathrow) who said that he would ask Aer Lingus staff to check the plane once boarding of the next flight was completed. I also spoke to the supervisor Aer Lingus operator at the check in desk in departures on level * Terminal * Heathrow airport, I was told my purse was not found. I know I accidentally left my purse on the plane as I had used it to buy tea on the flight and I would like you to follow up in case it was found when the flight landed back in ?Dublin later that evening. I am extremely disappointed that my family reunion has been spoilt by this unfortunate event. I found the the supervisor at the Aer Lingus check in desk unsympathetic and abrupt and was offered no means to follow up this matter. No one took my name or contact details, it was as if it didn’t happen, Goodbye, go home. I had no money or cards for onward travel and did eventually get home much later when my husband managed to come and pick me up. I then needed to cancel my cards etc.
