I seem to have misplaced my phone and I am unable to find it. Unfortunately, I don't have the means to reach an AT&T store to retrieve my passcode, and without my device, I can't dial [redacted] for assistance. Dealing with this situation has become more troublesome than I anticipated. I have unsuccessfully tried to connect with a live customer service agent after interacting with the automated system. Considering the difficulty I am facing, I have decided to discontinue the service. I only have one AT&T account with a single device associated with it. Your prompt attention to canceling my account would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help in this matter.

It's Christmas and raining outside, and I'm experiencing no dial tone! This is the third time in the last two months that I've encountered this issue, and interestingly, each time has coincided with rain. Before these recent incidents, I've reported noise on the line at least six times. Despite multiple visits from your technicians who have adjusted the wires, the problem persists. Strangely enough, after the last noise problem was fixed and before the rain, the service was stable for a couple of weeks. However, now that it's raining, the dial tone has disappeared again. I had a service performed as recently as 12/22/[redacted].

I am experiencing an issue with my fiberoptic home phone line in Knoxville, Tennessee. It seems that incoming calls cannot come through, and callers hear a message stating, "Cannot complete your call at this time, please try again later." Despite this, I am able to make outgoing calls. Unfortunately, my attempts to reach Customer Service were unsuccessful as I only received a busy signal. This situation is troubling for me as I rely on my home phone for communication due to my hearing impairment. I have had this number for 40 years. I am hopeful that the service will be restored soon, but I would appreciate any information on the cause of the problem and an estimated time for resolution.

I spent over three hours trying to lower my bill by changing my u-verse service. The representative tried to sell me cell phones and switch carriers, which I'm not interested in since I just bought new phones. After researching, I switched to u-family, but it still costs me over $[redacted] a month. Unfortunately, I don't get ME TV, the family-oriented station with old sitcoms and cartoons that I wanted. Instead, I have all selling channels. Due to the lack of helpful solutions and the focus on selling more products rather than customer care, I will be switching companies. AT&T's prices are too high for seniors on fixed incomes, and the customer service was disappointing. No positive recommendations will come from me or my wife. Goodbye.

I am a current AT&T customer, and I have been locked out of my Apple phone for over 40 days. Despite visiting an AT&T store and trying a different iPhone, Apple is requesting another 25 days in recovery mode due to a password reset issue. Can I get a loaner phone while this gets resolved since I am unable to use my current phone for which I am paying? I want to avoid getting a prepaid phone. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated, whether it's loaning a phone for the next 25 days or a refund for this month.

I received an email today from AT&T reminding me of a past due amount of $[redacted].02 with a total amount due of $[redacted].02. The email specified the account ending in [redacted] and the date of 12/28/[redacted]. The email mentioned ways to pay using the myAT&T app or by going online to att.com/pay. Contrary to this reminder, I had already made a payment on December 1st. The confirmation email from AT&T acknowledged my payment of $[redacted].82 through Visa with a payment date of 12/01/20. It provided an account number ending in [redacted] and a payment confirmation number. The email encouraged me to sign in to manage my billing and payment information. Both emails included information about contacting AT&T for support, setting up AutoPay, and going paperless. They requested not to reply to the emails as all replies are automatically deleted. Overall, it seems there might be a discrepancy in the system regarding my payment status.

My son tried to buy a new phone from AT&T and it took 2.5 hours with multiple people involved. Despite having all the necessary information, he was passed around without resolution. This lack of professionalism shows poor training. As long-time customers, we expect better service. We seek a discount on our account or the new phone due to the time wasted. The initial online order was returned, confirmed received, yet he couldn’t order a new one due to an unclosed ticket. This situation is unacceptable and should have been handled efficiently from the start.

I spent a long time on the phone with ATT today trying to resolve a billing dispute involving charges for two phone services that I do not owe. I changed my number in September or October, and was assured at the store that there would be no charge, just a free $[redacted] voucher. Despite canceling my service, they continue to try to charge me for a phone line associated with my old number. After speaking with three representatives, my issue remains unresolved. I currently have Direct TV and internet services, and I am looking to cancel the Direct TV portion. It seems that the account is still under my late husband's name, who passed away on 8/29/19. I have been managing the account and making payments for the past year and a half. To cancel Direct TV, I have been informed that I need to visit a corporate store with the death certificate. However, when I tried this a year ago, the store staff mentioned they only dealt with phones and bill payments. I am wondering why I cannot simply email a copy of the death certificate to cancel Direct TV and transfer the internet service into my name.

I placed an order for the iPhone 12 Plus over a month ago. To my surprise, on December 16, [redacted], I discovered that my order was canceled, even though I did not do so myself. I contacted customer service and was informed that I needed to pay $[redacted] again to have another phone shipped. The representative assured me that the phone would arrive by December 28th. However, I have yet to receive a refund for the initial canceled order or the second phone I ordered. I am feeling frustrated with the ongoing issues with my order since I switched to AT&T.

On top of this, a supposed courtesy credit of $5 per phone line was never applied, and my mother was unexpectedly charged a $5 fee for an early upgrade without prior notice. Despite being long-time customers since [redacted], the customer service experience has been disheartening, with conflicting information and unmet promises. Around 3 months ago, my landline, phone number [redacted], suddenly stopped working. I initially thought the issue was with my wireless phone, so I replaced it with a new AT&T phone. However, the problem persisted with "no line" and no dial tone. I have contacted the local AT&T office multiple times, been provided with 8 different phone numbers to call, and spent hours on hold only to get disconnected during transfers. Despite this, one representative claimed there was no record of my phone number, yet I have been charged for the nonfunctional service for at least 3 months. I recently moved to a new location where U-verse was not available, so I switched to DirecTV for TV and internet services. I did not cancel my home phone service, but I am experiencing the same issue of no line or dial tone at my new address. I am frustrated with the poor customer service from a communication company that I continue to pay for.

I have been a long-time AT&T customer, having started with the iPhone, and remained loyal until recently when I switched to Verizon accidentally while trying to upgrade my phone. I unintentionally ended up buying a new phone and signing up with Verizon. After realizing my mistake, I contacted Verizon customer service, and although AT&T was understanding and helpful, I am not satisfied with the phone I purchased. The new iPhone 12 size is not to my liking, and I am considering downgrading. As an existing customer, I am having trouble accessing my account online without having to re-register. After being a loyal customer for over 20 years and upgrading our equipment with your company, I am incredibly disappointed for the first time. I am now considering changing phone service once our equipment is paid off. Typically, I have always been pleased with the assistance from your customer retention department, but that has changed. After making four phone calls and enduring 20-30 minute holds each time, I never spoke to the same person twice. I had to repeatedly explain the same issue without any notes on my account. This lack of professionalism is disheartening. My recent experience trying to purchase watches as Christmas presents was similarly frustrating. I had to be transferred three times due to staff incompetence in answering basic questions like activation fees. Despite being initially told there would be no activation fees for upgrading three phone lines and adding two watch lines, my first bill included unexpected fees. When I tried to return the watches as advised, I was informed it was past the 14-day return window - information I was never given initially. It seems your company no longer values our monthly payments, but I am determined to change that going forward. Big tech's censorship and interference in elections, along with media bias, cannot be tolerated. These companies have incited violence and undermined free speech, ignoring our constitutional rights. I will share this message widely and encourage other customers to petition all internet providers to take a stand. Let's remember the values that once shaped this country and the companies within it.

On October 22, [redacted], my flip phone, which I had while attending school at Stratford University in Canada, was stolen from my aviation backpack. I had originally obtained the phone in Indianapolis, Indiana, before it was taken from me at Labor Finders in South Carolina. Unfortunately, when I left the backpack in the lobby with my NASA jacket, it was gone upon my return. I reported the incident to the FBI the following Sunday. The individual who took my bag now finds themselves incarcerated, hopefully learning a lesson. I refuse to drop the charges as this person may have targeted other job sites before and after this incident. It's a reminder to always keep personal belongings secure.
