Was on hold via phone and needed to canceled a payment arrangement due to no funds available in bank account which had been hacked and drained of the money for the arrangement payment to AT&T. Jumped online to chat with thoughts of a quicker response. The online customer service rep assured me that the transaction had been stopped and would not be deducted from my bank account. Bragging on herself that she knew of exactly how it worked and I was in very good hands and she ask for my good review of her service upon exit of the chat. Before the exit I ask her for a Conformation* of the transaction that she had just performed and told me that I would be getting an email with all that information, but I waited for an email that never came. Luckly I managed to hit the print before her exit. The money was deducted from my bank account and created a LARGE Problem with my bank and myself. I have a BIG amount of money for overdraft charge fee's now. Return Item Charge * Insufficient Funds Charge then AT&T run it through my bank account again, just as soon as it was returned to them from my bank. Without authorization or consent. Not to mention the knowledge AT&T had of NOT TO perform the payment arrangement transaction. I want to file a formal complaint against AT&T for such negligence and especially a Complaint for the "Unauthorized" access to my personal bank account without my consent to do so. I now have $-***.** balance and no money to pay this unecessary debt until my limited income benefit check next month. Also can't use my bank account for other important automatic drafts to deduct for the IRS which deducts today! Thank You, AT&T for creation of a financial hardship of a Senior Consumer.
