I sent this email to the collections service you turned me into. Please erase this dept and clear my credit record after reviewing this account of the circumstances. If we want to get Consumers Services as our arbitration mediator, I will be glad to go along with their decision.:**“In reference to the ‘claim’ I would like to dispute, I have taken note of my agreement and conversations with AT&T.*Initially I called AT&T to cancel a policy that was, in my opinion, way overpriced. This conversation took place on ****** with a representative whose name was Ashley. The precall automated voice answer said the conversation was being recorded, so I figured it would be on file in case there was an issue with them dropping our service. Ashley tried to offer a better price but still above that of the same service options elsewhere so I declined. We have two phones and an iPad that had service at the time. So Ashley said she could offer service for just the iPad for $**.** a month. I said that would be doable so I would accept that offer if it did not have ANY additional fees tacked onto that. We agreed on that. So to make sure that was ALL I ever paid from then on I told her I wanted to make sure I by clearing my dept to AT&T and paying it in full up to that moment. She said that was doable and she checked to see what we owed through that day so that the only fee from AT&T I would receive from then on would be the $**.***mo. I paid the $***.** over the phone on that same call. It was supposedly recorded according to the recording.*Well I did receive a bill for the $**.** and was happy to see that. But then I received another bill soon after stating we owed an additional $*** for some charges on the phone service.*Appalled I called in to talk with them and spoke with a Jose on *******. I told him about my call with Ashley and that there had to be a mistake. I had paid in full and Ashley specifically told me I would only see a bill for the $**.***mo from then on. I don’t know if he was playing dumb or if they just do not have customer service ready to handle cases like this. After quite a while attempting to clear this up nose said I would need to speak with Collection about the bill. He said they were not available till Monday, to call the same number and ask for collections. On ******* I called collections and spoke with a Rashad. I repeated what I had spoke with Jose referencing my conversation with Ashley. He told me there was not a way for his dept to access the conversation with Ashley so could not honor what she said. Now to me that was either dishonest or misrepresentation in the pre automated voice recording. Maybe they don’t really record the conversations . Either way I expected to be covered and had the info for them to check on it but they refused. I requested I speak with his manager. He agreed and took down my phone number said she would call with an hour. That was at *:**PM. Much later a lady called , who I could not understand her name. I started to explain and she hung up on me and I never heard back.*All AT&T need to do is listen to the initial conversation with Ashley to see that my bill was finalized and paid in full but they refuse to.*That is why this bill was not paid.*Feel free to call me and I will speak with you if needed.
