My wife and I have been ATT customers since ****. We had an excellent credit rating and provided a card on file for billing. In ****, we decided to change to a cheaper, no contract provider. We contacted ATT at a local office to have our service discontinued. They said we would have to call the corporate office . We did so and asked them to stop our service. They explainedible that we would havery to wait until the end of our billing cycle. I reluctanty agreed but they assured me that, "if I don't call back in before the **th, my service would be terminated". I agreed. On the ** of the next month, they charged our card on file for $*** and the phones stayed on. I called back and they said "you were suppose to call back in to end your service ". Not true! I demanded they reimburse the last charge and turn off our phones. They finally agreed to refund $*** of the $*** and we did finally get that deposit. * months later, they called to say I now owe them $**! After refunding me money. .. I explained that we don't owe them anything and will not pay the $**.*We got a letter from a collection agency today. My credit score is perfect and, this is gonna hurt it I'm sure but, I will fight this at all costs. It's not right that companies can bully customers this way.*I want AT&T to cancel this bill and drop this collection. I don't owe it.*Sincerely, *Kelly Leewright
