We are a new customer. My wife set up the account. All I wanted was the internet service. She was talked into internet and tv as well with the understanding that this was a savings. Internet only would have been $**. Now we pay $***. To me this looks as if we pay more. The internet is cheaper but still we pay more. When I contacted customer service, I was told the fee to cancel would be ***.**. We were not told about a $** one time charge for the tv modem. I was told you should have read your contract. Well just moved and thought the sales person would have explained, I was wrong. Well at first the internet modem did not work. Took * days to receive a new one that I had to set up. I also had to bring the bad one to a AT&T store ** miles away or be charged $***.** . We returned the bad modem. The modem was not my fault but I took care of it. Now we made a mistake with a plan and because we signed for it we have no recourse but to pay a fee. If at&t have a problem I have to work with it, but if I make a mistake no one can help without a cost to me. Seems unfair. There is no trial period or willingness to help at all. I want internet service that is all.
