When I activated my new line ***-***-****, I was told that att ran a promo the month before for free activation, but that if i continued to activate it over the phone, they would WAVE the activation fee. I waited two days to use my new line (had to wait for SIM card) b*c I activated it over the phone to save $** instead of going to the store two blocks from my work. **That rep apparently lied to me. I don't know why. Do they get kickbacks for activations? **I was just told by your supervisor MARVIN that he is unable to credit me a fee that I was told I did not have to pay. He lied to me about being the only person I could talk to and REFUSED to let me speak with someone else. Marvin kept telling me it was a valid charge and he would not credit it back. He didn't care that your customer service agent PROMISED me free activation. He REFUSED several time to let me speak with anyone but him. I'm sick of being lied to by your CSRs. **Please credit me back the $** that was taken out of my account after I was told I didn't have to pay it. I'm so very tired of having to call and wait on hold and waste hours of my time getting my money back from ATT that is taken without my permission. I recently had to have almost $*** refunded over a few month period for more invalid charges. I simply don't have the time in my life to keep doing your job. **Please give me back the money that was taken out of my account or put through a credit of $** to cover the activation that I should've gotten for free. **Thank you, Kristin

I lodged a complaint with the BBB. Someone from the president's office called me and gave me full credit plus an additional $** credit.
