I have been a long time customer. About a year ago I needed a new phone because I have a puppy and it damaged it. My phone was old so it was time to upgrade. I called AT&T about purchasing a new phone. At that time the woman told me that you have not updated your account in a long time and she was going to give me a very good deal. I told her I'm not a phone Guru and just use the phone for basic stuff like texting calling reading some Reports online Etc. I also have my sister on the line which would be a second line. I told her that I did not want to pay more than $*** for my phone. She told me I could have a free iPad. She asked me would you like it I said sure. She never told me that there was a contract that went on to my account. She never told me that I would be paying a fee. Then months past and next thing you know I'm getting these big Bill's. I called several times trying to get this straightened out. I called a couple of months ago and it was on the phone for over an hour and a half and the man told me that he took off the fees he removed the third line he told me I shouldn't have any more problems with it. Today I got a call on my sister's line saying that I owe $***. There's absolutely no way that I could be owing that kind of money. I paid my bills every month on my Marquette Bank online account. I've never been late on a bill. Today I left my work, principal of a school, and went into an AT&T store in Orland Park Illinois. They told me they could not help me they only do retail we don't handle these kinds of problems you have to call somebody. I have called multiple times regarding this issue of not ever agreeing to a contract on this iPad I never even took the iPad out of the box. I brought the iPad into the store and they told me no we don't take that back. AT&T clearly lied to me and clearly has cheated me. Today they told me that the line was still on my account through May. You have rotten customer service you treat people that have been coming to your store for years like garbage period as a principal of a school one of my colleagues told me today after I told her the problems I was having with AT&T, and she told me that Verizon gives our school district **% off on mobile phones for faculty. It's pretty horrible that you can't do what is right and fix this problem with my account. I don't owe these ridiculous fees period as a principal of a school when I get back in the fall I'm going to bring up to my staff, ** people, what problems I had with AT&T. What's really interesting when I started asking my friends who is your mobile phone provider not one of them told me it was AT&T. I was very clear what I wanted a year ago with this lady and she completely screwed up my account and cheated me. Apparently this is what AT&T does to his longtime quality customers who pay their bills every month. You need to do what's right cover my cost straighten out my account.
