I wanted to talk with a person and it seemed difficult to do this. So I wrote this email. In the meantime, my husband spoke with someone from United because the tickets were purchased through United. The original*tickets were cancelled and new ones were issued for*them to depart on an earlier date, but at an exorbitant*cost (which they paid). They were told that if they submitted a medical report, they might be able to obtain*a partial refund. *There are * tickets invoved -husband*and wife. The wife is the one who is ill. However, the*husband must travel with his wife as he is not able to live alone.* Will ANA, out of compassion, refund them for their original tickets? ... An ** year old Japanese speaking woman is in Hawaii. She is ill and the doctor has recommended*that she seek treatment with her doctor in Japan. Therefore, she wants to return earlier than Sept. **th when she is scheduled to return. Can ANA rearrange*this return trip as soon as possible without extra cost to her?
I am not optimistic that ANA will assist this couple with a full refund. They don't realize that this couple is paying twice for their return to Japan.
